Did you really just make the ****ing burger reference again? You clearly don't read. This is an IPHONE FORUM NOT A CHEESEBURGER FORUM. THIS IS MEANT TO DISCUSS THE IPHONE NOT CHEESEBURGERS. Such a dumbass comparison.

Oh wait I already said that.

The comparison makes total sence.

Oh wait I already said that.

I don't recall doing the burger reference more than once.

Also, you don't get it, do you?

If I ever decided to switch from the iPhone...you'd never know because I'm not an attention whore.
Couldn't tell from this post.

You're right. But still, it's kind of hard NOT to say it when someone posts a topic like this.
Then you have an alarmingly lack of self control.

To the OP I'm eligible for an upgrade right now, and I'm wondering having used both the iPhone 4 and the Bold would you recommend the Bold over the iPhone 4?

Did the opposite of this post

Your thread caught my attention because earlier this week, I just switched from a Bold 9700 to the iPhone 4.

Using the bold for work the past 6 months was good for email, but i sorely missed all the other things (esp. the apps) that the iPhone could do.

Anyway, I have an Otterbox commuter case that protected the bold like a champ for only $15 +shipping if you want it.

Just feel like throwing it out there that I sold my iPhone 4 on craigslist and got the Bold 9700.

Don't get me wrong, the iPhone 4 is awesome but there's something about the iPhone that I just kind of got sick of. And obviously the new one, whenever it may actually be coming out, will have a fixed antenna and hopefully be less fragile. (I live in a good reception area so I didn't really have to deal with the antenna, but if I held my fingers in the spot the bars would eventually go down. For the record, never had a dropped call - and never dropped the phone)

As for the iPhone 4 being too fragile, I constantly felt like I had to baby it. I'm hoping when they make a new one Apple will use a different material. Seeing all the shattered phones on this forum sucked.

Again, not knocking the phone, because it was sweet, I just wanted to try something else for a while. For what it's worth, I still have my 3G on 3.whatever.whatever. And since I'm on a family plan with 5 lines, I'm sure if I want to within the next two years I can get one of the other iPhones.

:apple:
Maybe Apple will make a better, more durable (less fragile) iPhone with this: http://www.appleinsider.com/article...ghts_to_custom_super_durable_metal_alloy.html

I would've gotten a BB but having an ipod and phone in the same handheld device is too convenient.

I'll just wait till I get a job and get a BB for free. Woooo strategic consulting.

just checked out how that bb 9700 looks like and after seeing it... man you never deserved an iphone 4 with that bad sense of taste, but i wish you a lot of fun with that piece of crap...

"Toyota Prius sold, bought a Ford Focus instead."

Why?

Did the Prius had an "antenna thing that bother you just knowing it existed and knowing they'll definitely fix it in the future, but it was also the fact that you didn't feel like having to baby the fragile car so much too. And quite frankly, were you just sick of the car (just the Prius in general, not just 2010) so you preferred to switch";)

I'm hungry. :(

Can you report back on what what you decided to eat? I kinda curious.

My experience is the opposite of the OP's. I'm a long time Blackberry user who just switched to the iPhone 4 a week ago.

Without turning this into a RIM-bashing post, I just got fed up with RIM and while the iPhone 4 isn't perfect, it is by far the best smartphone I've ever owned.

Like the OP I also find myself babying the new iPhone but I think for different reasons. The iP4 is such a beautiful piece of hardware that I find myself wanting to really protect it from scratches and dings just to preserve that look of it. In comparison, every BB I ever owned right up to the Bold (9000) that I just got rid of last week felt like cheap plastic that didn't warrant any babying.

At the end of the day though, they're all just tools to get the job done and every person will have a preference for one over the other and there's nothing wrong with that. But for me I'm not regretting the switch to the 4 one bit. And surprisingly I have not had any of the reception or proximity sensor issues that appear to be so widespread. Just lucky I guess.

I've had BlackBerry phones and I've had iPhones. I love them both for different reasons. I have an iPhone 4 right now, but that's not to say that if BB or Android or a company not even on the horizon yet comes out with something that blows me away that I'm so married to the idea of having an iPhone that I wouldn't go for something even better.

They're phones. And as far as Macs, they're computers. If they do what I want them to and they do it in the best way for me, then that's really all that matters.

So if I want a burger or a really awesome salad or even some sushi, it's whatever will float the boat I'm riding in at the time.

I fail to see why posts like this bring the hate or the accolades instead of just a few minutes discussion. It honestly shouldn't be threatening for someone to prefer a non-Apple product (or, in another forum, to prefer an Apple product).

lol

Bad move. I owned a BB 9700 and gave it to my wife so I could get the IPhone 4. No contest the IPhobe blows away the 9700, believe me you will be back.............

Every aspect is better, corporate email using MS exchange server, browser, screen resolution is amazing, I love it and never looked back.:D

Well, it is all about getting the right tool to suit your needs and wants. Good luck with the 9700 OP. It looks like a nice phone.

I was waiting for this. It's amazing how people like you,

and you, still manage to think that's funny.

ya know what I find funny is how people like you think that macrumors is facebook, nobody care what the hell you do with you iphone or bb. these threads are so stupid, you don't have a status to update here. who gives a rat's ass what phone you use? not I!
