Send them a box with a couple of bricks in it and then see what happens. If it gets to the point of them having to send the bricks back then so be it, they'll get the message. If they try to leave negative feedback, just contact ebay and tell them what happened.

Don't all paypal payments have "pending" status for awhile? Im pretty sure I've had money being held for 4-5 weeks before it was finally posted. Its still worth checking out though.

That's what I thought too in the beginning, and I was getting pending for practically everything that I bought or money coming in to my account even though I had been a member for years.

But, about 2 years ago, all of a sudden PayPal elevated me to a "Premier" account status. They also sent me a MasterCard debit card (w/ Business Debit printed on the side) that had a 1% cash back on all purchases. You can link it to your bank account if no funds are in your PP account, so using it everyday works - which I do for the cash back. Anyway, since this happened, I've never had a "pending" status on anything like before.

Anything you sell on eBay you have to be willing to just loose and take the loss of when the deal goes south. unfortunately, stupid eBay, in the interests of "Customer Experience" has made it super easy to shaft buyers these days. I quit selling on ebay altogether last year.

Even if Nigeria was the Paypal registered address... I wouldn't even do it. I sold an iMac once on eBay and the buyer wanted me to send it to his aunt's house instead of his house since he was going to be out of town. Yeah, right.

To avoid this in the future, I would recommend using Buy it now with Immediate Payment. Also requiring some minimum feedback.

So what happens to your immediate payment when the payment is made with a stolen credit card? The bank or PayPal will take the money away from you. Only save method is probably Western Union (which is why scammers ask you to pay through Western Union if they want your money, because there is no way to get the money back).

That wasn't meant as a remedy for ALL possibilities. But it helps in some situations.

In addition, the OP mentioned that payment as pending, which usually means PayPal is reviewing it.

That would be expensive shipping.

I can't stand Paypal and their website is horrible.

yeah, hats why i hate the whole 3 day waiting to see if the payment is legit, and then waiting for it to actually go through to your account to make sure it's really real. not just someone wanting to cancel after they get the goods. hate this so much.
