Assuming you are in the US try to check your local stores, target and best buy sometimes have them in stock but don't forget that Macy's and Kohls are also selling apple watches now too. You might have to get creative and also check Sam's Club, Fry's, Microcenter, AT&T, T-mobile, etc. Good luck!

Read the forums...It full of users who's watches are now bricked since the latest os update. Apple have pulled the update from their servers

I don't think they're "bricked", per say - just need a version rollback.
I know this is a strange place to suggest availability, but ATT Wireless (at their web store) had all non-Nike models of Series 2 in stock when I ordered. Free shipping, too. Good luck on the search. Love my watch.
I ordered an Apple Watch Series 2 42mm (Space Gray Aluminum Case, Black Sport Band) from B&H Photo online November 27. It hasn't shipped yet. They haven't told me when it will. The website says the watch won't be available until late December.

apple havn't had the series 2 watch in stock for months and months in UK it seems. If you ordered now you are looking at 9th jan.

B&H is a great seller and when they know more, they will reach out to you immediately. You have the option of canceling at anytime.
I was sure hoping for a sale when I purchased mine. Just because the band looked better to me, I went space gray Nike+ model with dark band. Ordered through Best Buy (same price as from apple.com, and support a reseller).

You purchased Series 2 or the Nike model? Judging by your post, the Nike Watch is not water resistant if that is what you purchased. Only Series 2 is waterproof up to 50 meters.
I thought the Nike model is a Series 2 spec version with the Nike additions?
Yes, it is a series 2 watch.
I don't know where he got the idea that the Nike version isn't waterproof, that's complete nonsense.
