So essentially, it seems that not a single store in the country has received a new stock of iPads since the original launch day (unless I missed a post) and you can't get them online either.

I can understand running out for the weekend, but the longer this goes, the weirder this seems and the more I just want to give up. I've wasted way too much time on this.

Sacramento Store (Arden Mall)---

Almost 8am, no shipment yet. Management is expectant (they have a ton of staff here). They've been open since 7am for training or what not.

Been here since 3am. First person in line, things are looking grim. :(

Boston/Dedham area Apple stores opening @ 9am on 3/16

I was unsuccessful in getting an IN STOCK iPad2 from the Apple reseller store at Boston College this morning because I'm not a BC student.... so lame... no special configurations or deals with the iPad 2s, prices are the same, but only college kids can buy them? UGH!

I then drove to the Apple store at Legacy Place in Dedham and got there at 10am opening. I was told to my face by the guy at the front door that they will be getting some iPads today, and "all Apple stores will open at 9am tomorrow to sell them. We do not know how many we will get, but we will be open early"

I honestly am not sure what I want to do... they're telling everyone this, so it's going to be a zoo again, and with my luck, whichever store I go to will only get 15 iPads and will go to the people that can get in line at 7am... I can't, stupid kids have to be cared for and put on a bus at 8am :p

Hey Fred, I was that first person in line at the Raleigh store (I bought the 64 GB black wifi-only). Did they tell you that the stock they had was from Friday? That's what they told me.

No, they didn't tell me it was leftover from Friday. That seems really strange, I wonder why they would do that? The inventory list I saw was pretty limited. I was thinking of getting back in line for 2 more but realized the line had grown and the inventory was down, I took my 2 and was happy.

And thanks for not buying the one ATT model they had in stock, I needed that one for our CEO.

Do you have a phone number for that place? Could save me a trip.

Update: Just talked with them. They have 16 and 64gb wifi versions available. Not sure if they're only going to be selling to BC students though..

@ the Westfarms mall in Connecticut, there were about 100-150 of us in line. The staff was super nice and brought us refreshments but... Nope, no iPads today...
They opened up early at 9 but no go...

Thanks for the update.

In one of the news reports about the quake's effects in Japanese industry, it was mentioned that the plant that supplies glass to Foxconn for iPads was shut down. It didn't specify the type of glass.

The problem is that a lot of the base electronic components, even for items assembled in China, are manufactured in Japan. Even major manufacturers such as Sony, and Panasonic are shut down due to facility damage, intermittent or no power, and/or damaged transportation infrastructure.

Brandon, FL

Just got back from the store in Brandon, FL. They came out to us at 8:50am and said "Thanks for coming early, but we don't have any ipad2's and we don't know when we will." Most of the 30 or so people left. I decided to wait for their 10ish shipment along with a few others. Sure enough they got a shipment of ipads in and began selling them almost immediately. At that time we had about 75 people in line. I had my choice from...

Black 16GB WiFi
Black 32GB Verizon
Black 64GB Verizon
White 64GB Verizon

I chose the 32GB Verizon. The staff also told me they have no restocking fee at this point so I could always make an exchange if something else is available, though I think I will be quite happy.

There was a line of about 30 or sound outside the Fashion Island Apple store in Newport Beach when they announced a little after 8am "we have no ipads and doubt we will get any today" some people still stayed in line on the off chance they got some --- the sane ones left and went to work.....

None available @ Apple Store in Green Hills(Nashville, TN)

It was a bust. None available. There were about 30-40 this morning @ 9am CST.

App store employee came out, and told us to keep 'happy smiles' on our faces.

Crowd immediately dispersed.

Oh well.

Interesting enough, I called my local Best Buy...the recording stated that they started to accept preorders on Saturday for 100 bucks. First, Ive heard of this.

Dallas (Knox Street)

Knox Street generally opens at 8 so I made the assumption that it wouldn't be opening an hour early. Showed up around 7:30 Two people were already in line.

The manager popped his head out at about 7:40 or so and let us know that they weren't getting any iPads in today. Which stinks, but I'll give the guy credit for at least not making us wait around another 20 minutes to get the same answer.

West Field Mall in Woodland Hills a no go. They told us they didn't have any but we could wait in line and hope. At 9 when they opened, they said they got word they definitely wouldn't be getting any in...

Thank god I have my first iPad and am only waiting in line cause a friend offered a little extra compensation to get him one, or this would be exhausting and frustrating.

Denver Cherry Creek Store

Denver Cherry Creek store did not open early and they also let us know they are still sold out and did not know when they would have more in. They did say that if they did have more in on Wednesday, they would open at 9am.

Thousand Oaks (The Oaks) Apple Store didn't get any in today. Crowd of 60-80 dispersed.

I went to the Apple Store in Milwaukee, WI and they didn't have any. OMG! is this only on selected Apple store??????:eek:

Okay - deep breath everyone...

Here's the question... Does anyone know WHEN the Apple Stores will definitely be receiving shipments? (i.e. this question is directed to any Apple employees)

Would be helpful to get some good information somewhere.
