Just left apple store at Providence Place. No new ipad 2 shipments.

I just left Prov. Place too and can confirm this.
But to add. I was at Providence Place on Friday night and was about 2 people deep from actually getting into the store before an Apple store employee came out and told me there was no remaining stock left.

I was then told by this apple store employee to come back Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. because there would be a new shipment of stock.

This is apparently not the case. Instead, I was told this morning to order from the apple site and not to expect the Providence Place store to have stock for the next 4-6 weeks.

Take this bit of info for what it's worth.

Anyone at Walden Galleria in Buffalo and can report what they have?

I was hoping to get there today, but I won't be able to make it until Thursday now––drove down from across the border yesterday with no luck. I called earlier, but to no avail.

I'm growing weary of this...literally, I've been getting really poor sleep the last few nights. I won't be able to rest again until I have the iPad on my nightstand.

Derby Street, Hingham, MA

Just left the Apple Store at Derby Street. They are not opening early and they did not receive any iPads.

I guess that's why this site is called MacRumors and not MacFacts.

Raleigh NC Crabtree Valley Mall report

I arrived at 5:15 am and was second in line. The next person arrived about 5:40, 2 more at 5:45 had maybe 15 in line at 7am.

At 7:00 someone came out and explained that they had none in stock, didn't know when they would get more but we were welcome to stay and would be first if any arrived. No one left.

At about 8:00 someone came out and said they would go ahead and open early, and call us in one at a time.

The first person just bought one, I think he said he was getting wifi. I was next and was told there was ONE ATT unit, 16GB white, they had several Verizon and some wifi only, but the list I saw looked pretty short. I took the ATT and a 64GB wifi and was out in about 10 minutes.

I don't think they had enough stock to handle the line as I was leaving, but more could have been arriving.

Fred

I went back to the Reston store and saw the morning shipment arrive. Moments later an employee came out and notified us that there would be no iPads today.

Clarendon

Clarendon was reported to have iPads this morning. No such luck. At least the manager came out around 7:15am and said they didn't get a shipment. He said feel free to wait because they get a few trucks a day but don't know what is on the trucks. Next truck typically comes at 10:30am.

No iPads at the Fair Oaks Mall (Fairfax, VA) location this morning at 8:00AM. Store was open though.

Just came into the Chicago - Lincoln Park Store as was told that they have no iPad's. They thought they may get some but was not shipped any.

Hey Fred, I was that first person in line at the Raleigh store (I bought the 64 GB black wifi-only). Did they tell you that the stock they had was from Friday? That's what they told me.

I was there this morning, one of 40-50 in line at 8:15. No shipment, promises of another early opening tomorrow. A 10-or-so year old kid was going up and down the line telling a story about an early morning confrontation between the managers and some angry customers, and saying that our line was the second to form--the first one having presumably formed and dispersed well before 8 AM.

@ the Westfarms mall in Connecticut, there were about 100-150 of us in line. The staff was super nice and brought us refreshments but... Nope, no iPads today...
They opened up early at 9 but no go...

Man, I feel bad for the employees who must have to answer the phones all day and say "No, sorry, no iPads today."

Confirmed, none at green hills in Nashville.. they came out at about 8:50am and told people they wouldn't have any today.

Called the following places in NJ this morning:
- Garden State Plaza (Paramus)
- Tices Corner (Woodcliff Lake)
- Menlo Park Mall (Edison)
- Willowbrook Mall (Wayne)

The first three said that they don't have any in stock. The last still had a message saying they were closed due to flooding from last week's storms, although I think they are supposed to open again today. Willowbrook never had a launch due to the flood, but I think their iPad stock went to Garden State Plaza.

Garden State Plaza is the only place that offers hope of getting a new shipment when I call, but they still have received nothing. At this point, I think it's starting to feel unusual that one would think the original stock would have been sufficient to last until now, but I guess it's only been 5 days.

Any word from the Dallas-Fort Worth Area

I saw the post for the Knox store, but has anyone heard from any of the other stores in the area?

The Domain and Barton Springs locations in Austin will not have any today, but the SXSW "popup" store at the corner of Congress and 6th St, downtown, is supposed to have "plenty" of the 64GB models when they open at noon today. I just talked to the manager there less than 2 hours ago.

Pittsburgh, PA

Went to South Hills Village mall Apple store on the way to work. Got there at 8:15. Store was already open (giving some training to a few people) and they said they had no iPads.

Seem to be getting sick of people asking.

I give up.

I give up. I'm not playing their games anymore.

I ordered one online on Friday at 10:00am EST. I never thought by 10am they would already be sold out of their stock for online purchases. I guess I'll have to wait until April 6th for my delivery.

I tried to go to the Apple store yesterday and was told to by an employee that "they have them, wasn't sure what models, but they were not selling them until tomorrow" but to arrive early the following day.

Saw this article last night, woke up and drove back to the store to get there by 9am to see 10-12 people already waiting in line outside. A frazzled girl came out and very nervously told the group "we have no iPads, we have been confirmed that we will not be getting any today." Some people challenged her, and finally a "Sr. Manager" (whatever the heck that is) came out and reconfirmed they were not recieving any today.

I don't understand it. I honestly believe they have a stock of iPads but are just holding them because they don't want to have crowds of people swarming to them. I read some stores are telling groups they don't have any, but when people walk away they are calling select people in 1 by 1 to sell them... Sounds fishy.

This was the Coconut Point store in Estero, FL. I also called the Naples location and told they had none -go figure!

In the grand scheme of things, there are much worse things happening in the world right now then us not getting an iPad 2's this week.

For BOSTON area, I called Boylston St. Apple Store and they open at 10 am tomorrow.
South Shore Plaza opens at 9 am, but they told me to call again tomorrow.
Thanks for saving me the trip! I called them today, and they say there are no iPad2's in stock. Nor can they say when any might arrive.

I was at Cambridgeside last night and they said the same thing.

I suspect that Apple is restocking stores that were under-stocked on day one. Boston appears to have got its fair share. Well, not from my POV. :(

I feel bad for the employees that have no control over this, but let them complain up then. The only way (and it likely wont do a damn thing) to get this ridiculousness to be reduced in the future is for Apple to feel this is hurting them more than helping. We are going to keep desiring great products, that wont change, but maybe they will recognize the resources that are going to waste and better prepare for a launch.

This isn't the first or second iPhone- EVERYONE knows that millions of these will sell. Do something about it Apple. Hold off on a release for a week, improve warehousing capabilities, limit sales to 1-per-person for gods sake (This is a no-brainer to me. You need more than one? Too bad). Something!
