How can you tell what type of watch you are getting back? I sent my Series 3 38mm SS GPS+Cellular in to repair a cracked screen two days ago. At the store they had to “warn” me that due to supply constraints I may instead get a Series 4 as a replacement.

I will! Unfortunately I called support to check the status and they told me it was not shipped yet. I called the store to find out what was going on and they said there was a “glitch” in system and no watches went out Wednesday or Thursday. It’s supposed to ship today but it looks like i probably won’t know anything until next week.

It’s still up in the air. I called today and they said that it was at the repair depot but had not yet gone through diagnostics. They did say that because it’s physical damage that the process at that point is very quick and they send out the replacement

I think it would of said series 4 right there
You’re probably right When it ships is there a way to confirm which model it is?

My buddy’s also said that he was getting a series 2 (what he sent in) but when he received it. It was in fact a series 3. So hopefully he updates on what he actually got.

I just got a call from the store that the reason my replacement has been delayed is because of the supply constraints and they will probably be replacing mine with an S4! However, we will see the the final outcome when I go to pick up my watch. Mine was a 38mm silver SS

Not exactly the same circumstances, but my Series 2 SBSS 42mm was just replaced with a Series 3 after the screen popped loose from a swollen battery.
 
I took my 42mm SS series 3 in on Monday for a cracked screen. They sent it off for repair and ended up replacing it with another Series 3 yesterday.

Same. No luck on 42mm but they are upgrading series 2’s to series 3’s
 
Is everyone with a SS series 3 ready to crack their screen (accidentally drop and jump on it) and see if we will be able to get a series 4?
 
Just got my Series 4 replacement upgrade delivered from FedEx! Never received an email with serial number or shipping information, just the generic email that my replacement was shipped. Mine was shipped out of Pennsylvania in case anyone was wondering. There is hope!
