Not Shipping Yet!

I ordered a 64GB Black AT&T model at 4:08am Eastern Time (8 minutes after the "official" launch). Still not shipped or even prepared for shipment. When I ordered it said it would "ship" in 3-5 days. We are now about 14 hours away from 5 days.

This has just been incredibly frustrating. I know Apple wants to build the hysteria but it just seems like there is a better way to manage everyone'e expectations.

FedEx just dropped my iPad 2 64GB Verizon (in black)! Syncing everything over from my old iPad now...

PS. Ordered mine at 12:41 AM PST.

Received "5 - 7 Days" order today in Dallas, TX

I placed the order for two WiFi 32 GB iPad 2 units around 5 AM central time Friday and received the iPads today in Dallas. :)

No strong sales, NOT aside. Great!

A little more info please in which way they screwed up?

Your inside info please!

You have to understand that "full of win" sits on this site hitting refresh waiting for a new thread to appear so that he can post on the first page how Apple did wrong or is inferior. All because he hates Apple. He may not invest much money in apple but he sure does invest a lot of time in it.

my 32GB wifi iPad was delivered this morning (the smart cover arrived monday). now if only work would end...

Mine the same! Early this morning, smartcover was here Monday. If it ONLY WOULD FINISH SYNCING .I regret already to have used my VIAO and not the ALIENWARE (that one is blazing fast) Or I could have hold off syncing everything and play first ? Oh well gtg anyway so it be done when I get back HOPEFULLY

Ordered Friday morning at 5:45 AM and mine has been delivered. Wasn't supposed to arrive until Friday, but the same thing happened with my MBP last week (arrived 2 business days early). Super pumped. If only 3:30 would come faster so I can get home and play.

iPad in Hand

I ordered early like 10 minutes before 1am friday morning. I picked up my iPad yesterday from my local Fed Ex shop. Black WiFi only 32GB

I seriously don't understand how there is no rhyme nor reason to Apple's fulfilling of these orders. I ordered a few minutes after the official launch time like 4:05 EST or something, and I just got the shipping notification 4 hours ago. My smart cover arrived yesterday, but my iPad is stuck in China still. Estimated delivery next Tuesday before 4:30PM, and I really really wanted it for a long bus ride I'll be taking on Monday.

On the truck

I ordered mine at 1:03AM PST and It's currently "On the vehicle for delivery" Can't wait!
BTW I'm in Redondo Beach near Los Angeles CA

First page? He seems to always be within to first 3 posts. Good thing he has been on my ignore list for a long time.

Strong sales aside, Apple really screwed up this launch.

How?

Name one computer company that needs to deal with this type of demand, at launch.

I'd say they are doing pretty damn well. It's just selling like hotcakes.

just got mine today. Fed Ex guy banged so hard on my door I realized I had overslept to the time of 1:45PM.

At least he banged. Mine would just walk up with the ipad in one hand and the door tag in hand. If I didn't get to the door by the time he did, the door tag was up and he'd drive away saying no one answered.

Seems like only the WiFi only models are shipping ... Anybody on this forum who got the 3G today (or will get tomorrow) ?

I ordered my 3G at 4:01 EST ... it is not even prepared for shipment
all the people I know who got theres today are wifi only models, all the 3G people are still waiting

Mine just got here 30 min ago!:D
64Gig 3G AT&T - San Francisco Bay Area.
I ordered mine at 1:02 am PST.

Apple is having a really tough time getting Foxconn to produce enough product. I'm not certain that demand for the IPad 2 is significantly higher than it was for gen 1, but Foxconn has suffered a slowdown which has constrained supply.

My HDMI Dongle and iPad 32GB Black WiFi were both due by 4:30 tomorrow.

My Smart Cover was due today.

The Dongle arrived yesterday. The Smart Cover arrived this morning and the iPad is on a different truck due later today.

The Cover shipped from Sacramento it looks like and arrived when it should via FedEx Ground.

The HDMI Dongle and iPad both shipped from HK and were both in Anchorage AK on Monday at almost the same time, yet the Dongle moved out right away and arrived Monday night in Indy, moving to Denver around 4:30 am and getting sorted and delivered on Tuesday.

The iPad sat an extra day for some reason in AK, then moved out yesterday afternoon, arriving in Indy about the same time and getting to Denver by 5 am today. Sorted and on the truck.

I placed my order around 3:00 AM pacific on day 1, and it arrived yesterday (3/15).
Its for my wife, so I'm scrupulously keeping my hands off of it, mainly so that I don't end up drooling over the faster Safari page loads (and absence of refreshes.)
She's calling me every 15 minutes today, each time starting with "Did you know that you could...!!??"
Fun times. Another iPad junkie in the making.
