I got my Black 64 gb Verizon iPad 2 yesterday and it has the light leak issues along the bottom of the screen, called Apple support today and they were very quick to offer me a brand new one to replace it. The rep told me this was in their emerging issues que and was very nice to deal with...

Craigslist

Try craigslist - I was able to get a 32 GB black for only $699 (I didn't have to wait, nor did I have to pay best buy $100 to reserve one).

I think they produced as many as they could.

According to my sources they don't have large areas where they can stock pile tons and tons of any product. So that is one factor.

Another is that planes, boats etc from all over Asia are screwed up right now. The second shipments from China that would have restocked for last weekend were forced to cancelled and the shipments that would have been for early this week were severely cut back.

Sucks for folks that just can't handle waiting for their new iToy but unfortunately when a disaster hits most companies have a more important priority and don't care about toys.

Yeah instead you are paying some one else $100 plus the cost of the device. for most people that is not an option. Especially when you consider that folks like that are why the unit wasn't at the store for someone in line to buy. Just seems a bit tacky

Me iPad arrived on the 16th, a day early. In the hospital with a seriou heart attack, on the 15th. I hace to stay alive to play with my new toy.

My iPad 2 has been sitting for a full 36 hours on Lantau Island HK. :( No sign of movements. Anybody out there that have their iPads keeping mine company?

At least you know something

Although frustrating at least yours is moving. I am on day 5 of a 5-7 day ship estimate and no word at all.

I would be happy to know they were even making it :(

Just an update... even though Apple originally told me 4/1 it would should, I got an email telling me that my cover is now being shipped and arriving by 3/23. That probably means that the unit itself is likely not far behind.

Perhaps these dates do move up after all!

Help! My iPad is being held prisoner!

It has been in Hong Kong for 3 days. Delivery slipped from Tuesday to Wednesday.

Mine has been in Lantau State Penitentiary for nearly five days now. Delivery estimate slipped from Monday to Tuesday to Wednesday. Now it's still saying Wednesday, but unless FedEx have invented teleportation, I don't see how it's going to make it.

Shipping Time

I ordered my 64GB black WiFI iPad2 at 12:45am PST on March 11th... so it was one of the first ones ordered. I received my iPad2 this morning around noon (3/21). It took 10 full days to get here... it spent a long time in the two China facilities, but had a very short time in Alaska and Memphis until finally arriving in Florida today.

Wheres my ipad

I ordered my white iPad march 11 at around 1am and according to fedex it is in LANTAU isl. Hk for almost a week now, apparently im not alone has anyone gotten any answers to the reason why there's such a huge delay?

Stuck in HK

Same as previous poster, has been in HK since the 17th. Has to be a Fedex issue.
