One would hope! (note, that's not mine.)
oh WOW. Just saw it. Holy bejesus. Hope mine is okay.
One would hope! (note, that's not mine.)
What happened? Getting and error from twitter.
Ok, you proved my theory with wifi only wrong ....
WHY???? I ordered the 64GB 3G AT&T (white) 1 minute before you .... did you get the black one? Mine didn't even prepare for shipment yet.
I ordered early like 10 minutes before 1am friday morning. I picked up my iPad yesterday from my local Fed Ex shop. Black WiFi only 32GB
No strong sales, NOT aside. Great!
A little more info please in which way they screwed up?
Your inside info please!
Apple is having a really tough time getting Foxconn to produce enough product. I'm not certain that demand for the IPad 2 is significantly higher than it was for gen 1, but Foxconn has suffered a slowdown which has constrained supply.
You have to understand that "full of win" sits on this site hitting refresh waiting for a new thread to appear so that he can post on the first page how Apple did wrong or is inferior. All because he hates Apple. He may not invest much money in apple but he sure does invest a lot of time in it.
Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)
Strong sales aside, Apple really screwed up this launch.
is it oxymoron time?
They new the numbers for the first iPad. It would have been a simple move to have the same if not more ready for the second iPad.
Common sense. It's amazing how many people don't have it anymore. Though saying that, Apple have never done a launch properly. Some idiot probably thinks it's good business.
So I ordered mine on Mar 11, 2011 at 12:51 AM PDT, and the status still shows "Not yet shipped"....This is incredibility frustrating.....
I ordered 1 black 3G 32GB, andd 1 white 3G 32GB (both At&t models). Do you think the model would affect the shipment? I seriously don't know how Apple prioritize their shipments.. should be based on how early orders are placed..![]()
Well the same plant that produces iPad 2 probably produces iPad 1 which was selling pretty darn well through January (maybe even through February). It's kinda hard to produce one or two million units that fast (try to imagine how many airplanes it would take to transport that many units). I do believe that Apple specifically avoided the "pre-order" scenario in order to garner more media attention on launch with long lines, but I don't believe they are intentionally constricting supply. After all, Apple is coming up on the close of a fiscal quarter in two weeks. They cannot recognize revenue on iPads they have not shipped. At the same time, the fact that they did not restrict purchases to three per customer tends to indicate a desire to sell as many as possible before the quarter ends.
Mine is Black, sorry man, I don't know how they prioritize. My FedEx info was showing delivery on March 18th, so I'm really happy that I got it today.
