I was able to get an amber CRT. Green got boring after a while...
Started with green text, switched to white text, finally had amber text (over many different brands and models). Amber was easiest on the eyes. Before the CRT terminals, used a teletype machine with paper tape (early 1970s), or 80-column punched cards with a card reader. Finally had a color CRT before switching to Windows or Unix clients on mostly minicomputers. Some of the Unix clients were BSD, which is what Mac OS and iOS are based upon (by way of Steve Jobs' NeXT Computer Company).

I started with a Timex Sinclair 1000 connected to a 12" B/W TV, then got an Atari 800 and 130XE(?) then a Tandy Co-Co, and finally a Tandy 1000 PC, which was more advanced than the IBM PC being sold at that time.
So I had a 16-color CRT before Windows became more than a Runtime for Aldus Pagemaker.
So it was basically IBM DOS, then MS DOS.
Good thing I didn't have to deal with punch cards.
Coding was done MASM 1.0 and Lattice C 1.0 (later bought by Microsoft).
My editor was Sidekick.
Good thing my Dad got me an Epson 132-column DMP. I think he paid a over $1K for it.
Those were the days.

"best comments were juvenile and pointless"? Finally an admission. Thanks.

Because people with intelligence and a desire to gather useful information come here. If they wanted cheap and bad humor they would go to a street corner. There is NO desire to read the c**p that now makes up the majority of any discussion here. You're chasing more and more of the good participants away.
Most of my friends are generally considered to be some of the most successful people alive. Many are on the NY Times Best Seller list on a regular basis. Quite a few of them have PhDs in one field or another. Some have more than one and are professors at some of the worlds top universities. The thing about the best of the best, they don't take things seriously. If you are not willing to laugh at the universe, they most certainly won't take you seriously. I strongly suspect that you are the kind of person we all dread being around.

The kind of people that would be turned off by juvenile and pointless posts are not the kind of people who contribute anything of value to anything. Be enough of a grownup to act like a kid. You might just accomplish something with your life.

Complaining about flashing green lines on boot up? These people clearly never grew up with old green monochrome CRTs. If it didn't flash green lines on boot you'd think something was broken. 🤣
You kids today with your fancy monochrome displays! I didn’t even have a screen I had yellow paper on a teletype, and had to use oily paper tape to store programs. :D

You’re booting it wrong 😊

UPDATE FROM APPLE SUPPORT

Customers experiencing issues with flashing lines on the screen when booting an iPhone 14 Pro should follow the following procedure to resolve the issue:

1. Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to turn the iPhone on
2. Close eyes
3. Count to 20
4. Open eyes

Should this not fully resolve the issue, Apple Support will be supplying a hardware fix. Users who continue to experience this issue should make an Apple Store appointment or contact Apple Support to request an "iBlindfold", a new product developed by Apple engineering. iBlindfold will initially be exclusive to iPhone 14 Pro owners at a discounted price of $9.99, but will soon be available to anyone at the regular price of $29.99.

iBlindfold is also being recommended for those users experiencing graphical glitches and poor UX design in macOS 13.

..and that's just another reason why I'm waiting just 9 more months for the USB-C production model! Merry Christmas iPhone 14 Pro owners,..Lol
Because with the amazing power or clairvoyance you know that the iPhone 15 wont have any bugs at all hardware or software wise? I don't suppose you have the lottery numbers for the next 9 months too do you? ;)

Well... since Apple can't deliver iPhone 14 PROs at the moment (orders from November are likely going to be delivered in Jan only) there won't be too many people impacted by this anyway.

Maybe the Pro models are not as good as Apple would want us to believe.

The non-Pro models are just fine, more ppl should opt for them instead.

You just did the equivalent of saying you're holding it wrong.
There is a WORLD of difference between a cosmetic issue that occurs only on boot, and has zero affect on operations - versus something that affects reception on the phone if you hold it wrong. This is a non-issue, they'll fix it when they fix it and until then, it causes no one any problems.

Instead, I have other graphics problems with the iPhone 14 Pro max. It happens that notifications are square, and only after a while they become rounded on the corners. Have any of you experienced this too?

Actually yes, I wouldn't worry though. Certainly a software issue there.

Yeah I’m sure a redesign and completely new port will be without issues🤣 Good luck.
