I'd love to test 26.1 but I don't want to install another beta at the moment, especially this early in case they push out updates fixing things. But hopefully 26.1 does fix the issues.

I'm amazed that this was never caught during 17 testing. Surely they had some people doing real-world tests and actually used wireless CarPlay, especially with all the Ultra CarPlay stuff they've been working on. Knowing Apple, they probably tested it on one model that the 17 PM just happened to like and thought, “Yeah, works great.” 😄
It's surprisingly more stable than the current publicly released iOS 26 build. Very rare, but others around the internet have had similar experiences, and I have yet to encounter a breaking issue.

I agree about the lack of testing. You'd think they would have tested the new N1 chip incredibly well to ensure it works. When I look at the reports of how many chipsets the iphone 17 has problems with, its pretty incredible.

Since Apple ins't giving us any info, it's best not to jump on the beta right now. It you get on the beta nad 26.0.1 gets a fix before the beta, then downgrading is a hassle. For those experiencing problems the best options seem to be to wait for 26.0.1 or return the phone.
I fully concur on the "testing the new N1 chip incredibly well". And it is kind of a sour taste on everyone with a shiny new 17/P/PM or Air to start having these issues with their new device. Hopefully Apple releases an interim update this week fixing this issue. But, today, the fix is updating to the Developer Beta iOS 26.1 beta 1.

Upgrading to 26.1b1 fixes some people's Wifi/Bluetooth/Carplay issues, but there are a lot of people that still have issues after upgrading to 26.1b1

It fixes the bug when unlocking iPhones with N1 chip while wearing an Apple Watch with the Unlock with iPhone feature enabled (the only issue I've encountered so far, network related). Not sure about other issues as I haven't noticed anything breaking, yet.

Upgraded to a 17 Pro Max (from a 16 Pro Max 😩) today and installed 17.1 via IPSW first thing. So far, so good (despite some lingering and new minor visual bugs). Quite performant but so was the 16 Pro Max.

Both me and my son are experiencing the WiFi dropout issue (iPhone 17 pro and Pro Max). Neither of us is using an Apple Watch. I hope that Apple releases a fix ASAP. First time I have had such a poor experience with a new iPhone
