Wow this thread is what's cringeworthy and embarrassing. People can carry their phones wherever they want. To suggest that the phone "wasn't made to carry" in your pocket is idiotic at best.

That being said this is not that big a deal and probably affects so few customers it's negligible. Good forum fodder though.

What on earth has how one chooses to carry a phone got to do with cringe worthiness and embarrassment?

I didn't say it was cringeworthy and embarrassing to carry the phone in your pocket. I said it was cringeworthy and embarrassing to claim that it was normal. I was doing so in agreeing with the post that originally raised a very valid point about pocket use.

iphone 6+S has been leaked, probably by apple to try and calm the situation.

Cant wait myself. Looks totally awesome... and it won't bend as it comes in an all new case/design

I couldn't agree more. I don't know anyone who still carries a phone in their pockets of an adult age. People trying to manufacture an issue here by trying to claim it's normal to carry a smartphone in any trouser pocket is cringeworthy and embarrassing.

So ... Where would you carry your phone that's not cringeworthy and embarrassing?

Whoever made that graphic, forgot to include "person with poor understanding of how to make this graphic convey the intended point" ... Surely the it's meant to illustrate an overlapping of those three factors, in the centre of the graphic, meaning that where they overlap is where the problem occurs....... But anyone with eyes and a little scrutiny can see that - at the centre where the overlap is intended, THERE IS ZERO OVERLAPPING... look closely at this graphic... OOPS.

What said graphic was supposed to look like - in the centre - is this:

Nice try, but the graphic has NO overlap of the three factors... Haha.

I cant believe some of the sheep here. Willing to blindly defend at all costs.

The 6+ is poorly designed. It has no structural integrity.

A phone is meant to be placed in a pocket. What are you supposed to do when youre out and about? Put it in your ass?

Im using a note3 now and it goes into my snug fitting jeans and work pants. Sometimes i really feel it pressing against my legs. But no issues so far.

Cant believe some of you are so delusional that you would be aghast that people would put it into their pockets.

Put it in a jacket or coat pocket? So that means that 4-5 months out of the year youre out of luck and youll leave your phone at home because of the hot weather.

Hey, lets go to the corner bar.
Hey, lets go fishing.
Hey, lets go look around at the mall.

Hold on i cant go unless i bring my jacket or my manpurse.

That's why I miss the all glass iPhone 4/4S design. This little dude was almost indestructible.

You broke the back cover? eBay sold them. 3 for 10$
You broke the screen digitizer/LCD? eBay sold them for under 100$

That's the last iPhone I bought too (a white 4S).

There is such a thing as too thin. We have officially reached that threshold. What is Apple's obsession with thinner? I would rather have more battery life and a more rigid phone, personally.

Your upvotes are on their way... The button just got stuck :p

Look at these forums. While these forums and the members posting only represent a small percent of actual iPhone owners, many people want thin, big, best battery, etc. I too would take a little more girth for better battery and rigidness.

LOL this convo is really pretty civil if you see the meltdown at Appleinsider. Uh ... wow. People really love Apple over there, give them that.

Agreed. Thickness isn't really a huge factor at this point, and the space could have been put to good use. I'd be really tempted by a 6+ right about now if they had made it 2mm thicker and used the space for enough battery to last a couple days. That's one of the three things I actually miss about my old Note 3 -- the big display was awesome, the high resolution digitizer had it's moments, and the battery life was great. I don't miss the rest, but that's not a topic for this thread...

Good design isn't just about making a smartphone ever thinner or more beautiful--but practical. If the device can't survive in reasonable, real world usage then there is a problem.

Now we'll hear from people that will insist that putting a smartphone in your pocket is irresponsible and reckless abuse.

People also claim the iPhone 5 bends. Mine hasn't.

Will this also mean we will start me more broken phones with iPhone 7 and 8 ?

I dunno, if you use force any phone can break :)

Apple can't fix stupidity. Sit on a phone long enough, any phone will bend.
