seems to fix it for everyone who has tried it
Set mine as new but my phone has switched off 4 times but hopefully now I'm on 9.1 beta those issues won't happen againI have the same issue and have taken my iPhone 6s back and they given me a new handset only for it to happen again.
The phone will be unresponsive and not turn on unless you do a hard or soft reset they call it and the phone will turn on but after couple of days it will come back again. This happen on 9.0.1 and then my new handset on 9.0.2
Can I ask everyone when you had your new phone did you set up as a new iPhone or restore from a backup?
That's the main important question as I have notice users are not having issues when they set up their handset from new.
Apple should address this issue but looks like we have a long wait and I would like to fix it now than wait for their up coming releases.
Thanks
Yeah ios 9 issueSo is this a iOS issue for certain?
I've had this happen just twice.
I've had another random shutdown, this time it wasn't scorching hot. Yeah I restored from an iPhone 6 backup, but I'm not deleting and starting it brand new because there's no excuse for a backup of a phone that was enabled not even a month ago to have this form of failure.
At least it's a software bug, and it can hopefully be fixed on the release of IOS 9.1.

Wonder if I can bypass the ATT store and go directly to the Apple Store.
Went yesterday to the Apple Store. Had to make an appointment for today. They say they will run some diagnostics test. We will see....So is there now a fix for this issue?
I ask because I don't remember reading about a fix.
Thanks,
Jon...
I would take it to an Apple store and get a replacement. It should not be shutting off for any reason. Apps from the app store are compatible with your phone.November 29th I trade in my IPhone 6 for an IPhone 6S Plus. Phone has shut off around 5 times. Took it yesterday December 5th to the same ATT store. Manager said: maybe you have some apps that are not compatible. If they are in the App Store how are they not compatible? They decided to reset the phone to fabric. Manager suggested that I go to a 128 GB. Not an option. I barely have apps installed and around 10 songs downloaded, only 500 pictures in the Camera Roll and no videos, no books, no movies.
Took the phone back home. Normally sleep with the phone on in my night stand. Woke up this morning. Phone shut off again. Wonder if I can bypass the ATT store and go directly to the Apple Store.
Is iOS truly a scaled down version of Mac OS X? Still feels like two completely different operating systems to me. When is Apple going to truly integrate the two?
You must be joking. Of course you should take the phone to an Apple Store. If it is under warranty they will fix the issue at no cost.
