It’s the most natural thing in the world for new software & hardware to have a few minor issues. No matter how much testing you do, you’re always gonna miss a few things. Of course Apple could not be an exception to that rule.

Well, guess what, we have 4 Mac's in our house (MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, 2 iMacs), and ZERO USB-C ports. So what would I do with your proposed cable?????
Well I hope its a software issue else those with Grey Imports may find the have an additional one come time to get a replacement
I'd expect my phone to charge if I'm spending 1k$.
Because they are emotionally attached to Apple.
I’ve had this once so far on my XS using the cable out of the box.
It’s a minor issue.
I’m sure it will be fixed in a patch. I always check the phone is charging to make sure I’ve plugged the cable in right anyway. Easy to rectify.
Of course I’d rather it wasn’t there but in the grand scheme of things , hardly a massive problem.

Calm down. How many phones are impacted? You have no data to act like it’s so huge issue. I know it’s not because it would be on the front page of The NY Times if it were.
Well all your equipment is older models. So don't really see your point. He is right, an iPhone should be able to connect to the new MacBooks out of the box.

What do you guys care so much? He is doing what he is expected to do, if you do not like his videos than do not watch them. Other people watching them & other people commenting on them does not affect you in any way at all. I literally do not see the problem. Hell you can probably even block the guy to prevent his videos from showing up in your world on accident.
Seems Apple users really are the whiniest bunch of people. Imagine explaining to a starving kid you are upset because a youtube video maker is making youtube videos. Lol jesus people.
Between this and the weird smoothing of the front camera, this just seems like they half-assed things.
It shows up for a little bit on new iPhones. Sort of like a hint/visual indicator for Control Center's location. Then it disappears.
At this rate, I'd say "used to make good products". I used to get excited about Apple products. Now I'm at the point where I don't even care to buy a new one unless my old one has an issue. And I think this has become due to the number of oversights and lack of anything truly new being developed.
I think Apple needs to either commit more money to the day to day operations or start coming up with more realistic release dates. The wireless charger is a huge example. The number of announced features that are being pushed to X.X.1 or later software releases is another.
problem is why is this bug there in the first place? where is Apple QA?
For sure it’s an issue and a bug, but it’s not a “serious problem” as mr. click bait Apple won’t invite me to their events or send me demo products says...
You're right in that there are two sides of the coin. But don't you agree that it's ridiculous that Apple's latest technology aren't directly compatible? If they decided "alright, we think USB-C is the future, so much so that we're going to make the only ports on the MacBook USB-C," don't you think they should have also decided that the latest iPhone should have the same "technology of the future?" We're going on what, two years that the MacBooks have had USB-C and they still haven't implemented it in their other devices?

All these issues with the new iPhones and I haven’t experienced a single one. Guess I should consider myself lucky?
