I completely agree. I’m at Verizon now ... sim swap didn’t work. They’re on the phone with Apple now.

End of story ... at least for ME it was something on Apple’s side that they had to fix. 2 days and 5 hours on the phone later - and a trip to Verizon. They got it working.

Can you share what they did to correct the issue?

Do you know what they did?

I’m stuck on zip code and ssn.

I just got off the phone with Apple I was having a issue with not being able to verify info from Att. The fix was zip code 00000 and social 1234. And it worked and allowed me past the screen. I really and happy with agent for not giving up. BTW the agent was from Apple care not Apple customer service. Good luck

I had to go to AT&T store today to get mine activated it would just not activate on it’s on.

Bottom Line:
1.ATT didn’t have enough servers to handle what’s going on
2. Associates were overwhelmed and when you finally got through they didn’t know the answer

Just what a customer needs!

I just say that, iTunes is the ultimate solution. Wireless everything is nothing but an illusion.

Will keep laughing at those guys believing wireless is the future.

I activated mine yesterday and got the same error.....I have Verizon. I tried twice, still got the error, and then the message told me to connect it with iTunes and try again. I did that but then it worked.

I got the Zip Code/SSN error for 4-5 hrs tonight. Used a billing zip code from 2+ years ago and it worked. WTF man :[

Then I get to ssn / zip code entry and enter my info correctly 3 times. Boom get the following message:

Could not activate iPhone

Verizon was unable to verify your identity using the information you provided.

To assure your account security, there is a limit in the number of attempts that can be made to verify your account information. To continue your iPhone activation, you’ll need to call 1-800-my-iPhone for assistance. Unfortunately, you will not be able to use your iPhone until your identity can be verified.

I am stuck at this screen
