What appeals to you about apple watch?

I wanted it as soon as I heard about it. New and beautiful.

What marketing materials did you see to influence you on your buying decision?

None. They had me when it was presented at the KeyNote.

Where did you first hear about apple watch?

The KeyNote.

What image do you think apple watch have?

I don't understand this question.

What do you use it for?

It is an extension of my phone, allowing me to leave my phone permanently on silent, and in my pocket.

In what ways does apple watch differ with traditional watch?

I can't read and reply to text messages or pay for Starbucks on a traditional watch.

What particularly that model and why?

Why not? Not much difference in the offerings of the first generation.

Why did you choose apple watch rather than other digital watches?

Because it would work with my iPhone and because of the small size.

How important was the apple's branding to your purchase and why?

Only insofar as it works with my iPhone.

Can you explain the apple brand means to you?

$$$$$$$

Hello everyone. I'm doing a case study about apple watch for an essay and I need you guys to help answer some questions.

What appeals to you about apple watch?

I wanted it as soon as I heard about it. I like being able to view email and messages with out making a scene in meetings.

What marketing materials did you see to influence you on your buying decision?

The  website after the keynote

Where did you first hear about apple watch?

The KeyNote.

What image do you think apple watch have?

I not an image guy so I'm not exactly sure if there is an image belonging to the  Watch.

What do you use it for?
Well it's a watch so I can tell time with it. In the car I can have Siri call or add reminders.
It is an extension of my phone, allowing me to leave my phone permanently on silent, and in my pocket.

In what ways does apple watch differ with traditional watch?
Have to charge it. Multiple watch faces, heart /pulse, counts steps, read and reply to text messages just to name a few.

What particularly that model and why?
Sport due to the price.

Why did you choose apple watch rather than other digital watches?

Because it would work with my iPhone and I really never paid attention to the other watches. I'm a long time Apple user and understand the brand quality that is provided.

How important was the apple's branding to your purchase and why?

Awesome design and getting better OS versions.

Can you explain the apple brand means to you?
It just works.

Hello everyone. I'm doing a case study about apple watch for an essay and I need you guys to help answer some questions.

What appeals to you about apple watch?
The ability to sync with my iPhone which means I get texts, appointment info, and calls on it.

What marketing materials did you see to influence you on your buying decision?
Apple's website and also TV advertising. Mostly website info.

Where did you first hear about apple watch?
TV ads

What image do you think apple watch have?
Not sure what you mean here. As in how people see it?

What do you use it for?
Tell time and date. Receive and reply to text, driving directions guidance, receiving calls, appointment reminders.

In what ways does apple watch differ with traditional watch?
A traditional watch will only give me time and date.

What particularly that model and why?
I assume you mean what model as in size and material make up. I went with the cheapest silver aluminum sports as I was not sure if I would really like it. Now I plan to get a Gen 2 in a different color (gold) as I love it and have become dependent on it.

Why did you choose apple watch rather than other digital watches?
The ability to sync with my iPhone for text, calls, etc.

How important was the apple's branding to your purchase and why?
Very as I have an iPhone and compatibility was a huge factor.

Can you explain the apple brand means to you?
Quality, reliability, longevity, and excellent product support.

Hello everyone. I'm doing a case study about apple watch for an essay and I need you guys to help answer some questions.

What appeals to you about apple watch?
I actually think it's fairly attractive. I love getting notifications even if I don't have my phone in my pocket when I'm at home. I also love the pretty interface and build quality that you get from Apple devices.

What marketing materials did you see to influence you on your buying decision?
Mostly the Apple promotional videos and keynote.

Where did you first hear about apple watch?
I watched the keynote live.

What image do you think apple watch have?
Apple tried to market it as a luxury item, although I don't really believe that to be the case anymore. Perhaps for the Hermes watch, but I believe now they're trying to give it more of a fitness vibe. I still see it as a little bit of a techy product or people who like tech.

What do you use it for?
I wasn't a watch wearer, so I like being able to tell the time and see the weather at a quick glance. I also like getting text and email notifications as I use email a lot for work. I like being able to control music around the house or see if someone is trying to reach me if I don't want to carry my phone around the house or if I am taking a shower. I also really like being able to set quick timers if I am cooking or doing laundry. Paying for things with the watch is also incredibly easy and cool.

In what ways does apple watch differ with traditional watch?
The Apple watch has interchangeable straps and watch faces for different looks if you want to dress it up for an event or down for fitness. I like the ability to change complications and watch faces so that you're able to have the functions and abilities for the moment. You can receive text and email notifications as well as view and set reminders on the fly. I also like being able to see the weather, control music, and even pay for stuff. You can even track workouts, although I don't use that feature.

What particularly that model and why?
I purchased a pre-owned first generation sport watch in 38mm. I got the smaller watch because I have small wrists and wanted something very discreet. I also got the first generation, since I believe that to be the perfect price point for the functionality that I get from the Apple watch. It performs all of the basic tasks as the newer model and looks nearly identical, so I didn't see any reason to pay double the price. There are also not very many useful 3rd party applications for the Apple watch, so I didn't see the need for the faster processor.

Why did you choose apple watch rather than other digital watches?
It works seamlessly with my iPhone, and I believe it has one of the better designs in both hardware and software.

How important was the apple's branding to your purchase and why?
I probably would not have gotten another smartwatch if it came from another company.

Can you explain the apple brand means to you?
Quality, great Customer support

What appeals to you about apple watch?
I like having a watch that looks nicer than what the original Samsung Gears looked like. Having integrated fitness tracker has changed my active lifestyle considerably.

What marketing materials did you see to influence you on your buying decision?
With the first generation, it was doing the try-on in the Apple Store that sold me. For getting the Series 2, it was the keynote.

Where did you first hear about apple watch?
The keynote first introducing the watch in the end of 2014

What image do you think apple watch have?
Unfortunately, it still has the image of people only getting it because they buy into anything Apple.

What do you use it for?
I use it mainly for fitness tracking and then it helps me not missing any calls or texts. I'm not really a person who uses apps on the watch. It seems too gimmicky and I'd rather have a full app experience on the watch. Siri on the watch is very useful though.

In what ways does apple watch differ with traditional watch?
Its interactive. It keeps someone connected if they need to be. It also integrates fitness tracking and helps motivate someone to work out more

What particularly that model and why?
I got the stainless steel model and the Milanese band to have a look that can go with my work attire. I soon after also bought a sports band to use during bike rides and crossfit workouts. I also got the stainless steel because I am less afraid of scratching the sapphire over the regular glass on the sport.

Why did you choose apple watch rather than other digital watches?
I had a Pebble Steel before my two Apple Watches and honestly as soon as I played with it in store even on WatchOS 1.0, I could never go back. The Pebble Interface was clunky, it constantly had connection issues with my phone, and I always found myself wearing my Tissot T-Touch over it. With the Apple Watch, I have worn it every day since owning it.

How important was the apple's branding to your purchase and why?
Not important at all. If another watch can integrate with my iphone in regards to notifications and fitness tracking, I would consider it.

Can you explain the apple brand means to you?
The Apple Brand is a brand I grew up with. I had Apple IIc as a kid and then had multiple different Macs. I have always known it for a company that doesn't just make a product for profit margins. It may be more expensive, but its not just the same thing someone else has (initially).
