You'd have to fish it out of the Hudson first:p
Good that'll give it some flavor.

Lets try and remember folks, the Apple Store has gone down before without any updates. For all we know it could be routine maintenance... or they're putting Mac OS 9 back on sale. :p

If there is a new Apple product like a Uber-Thin MacBook when the store comes back online I'll eat my own hat. :D So let's not get all excited for nothing.

cardboard birthday hat? that shouldn't be too difficult. at least it's somewhat edible.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzz...*wakes up to see store still down*....*puts head back on pillow*..zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

IMO, it's probably 3rd party product updates as someone said earlier.

If Apple had a new product they would have announced it formally at the expo and then updated the store.

good thing i'm in hawaii...I can stay up longer :D It's only 9:54pm here :D So yeah...I was like the apple site isn't down, then i realized that you guys were talking about JUST the apple store and yeah....it's still down...Wonder what it's gonne be.

indeed

What new hardware is out there that the MacBook Pro would need??

You greedy portable bastards get the most updates.

The Mac Pro owners are left in the dark for the past year (don't count the 8-core).

Hehe :D It's true ,.. nothing on the Mac Pro lately, but
you ain't right - there is something to desire indeed !
NAND flash - along the Leopard release .

is it just me, or is everyone sitting here pressing control`R to keep checking the online store for something new....lol

How likely is it that Apple would add anything interesting without having some sort of press conference in the US ?

lol - still F5 for me Im afraid.

Although as soon as they do announce these damn updates / release dates im down to my nearest (newly opened Mondy) apple store!!!! to buy my first MAC!

I really dont have a life any more!

just to remind people, this isn't the first time apple's closed the stores only to reopen with nothing interesting updated. click here for a past example. also, when apple updates a product, i think they usually close all the stores.

Just came up for me here in US... nothing new hardware wise that I see...
Did they make some minor visual changes? Those blue bars look new to me...

Also, the "iPod touch" has that big now shipping image, did it before?
