Sonix Snap! Iphone 4 case review

Got my sonix snap today and I'm very pleased with it. I put the clear screen protector on it at first but forgot to take the little circle cutout for the front camera off which got stuck under the screen protector. I eventually squeegied it out but it messed up the protector a little and I was too anal about it and took it off even though it was on there perfectly.

Then I put the antiglare one on and it went on pretty good too but theres a small air bubble near the home button and earpiece I could not get rid off. This one is pretty good but visually is very grainy especially against light colors. I do like the feel of it though. Not sure if I'm gonna keep it on.

I'm glad others like the case as well. I am a case junky so I have an agent18 and a switcheasy nude on the way that I will also review and take photos of.

I have been getting a lot of good comments on my case from peers at work.

Thanks for the review. I also have a switcheasy nude enroute. Not sure if it will dislodge my IP4 from the Sonix Snap. I like my current set up of IP4 in a Sonix Snap (much like an Incipio Feather or iFrogz Luxe Lean) in a Gizmo Skin Lambskin Leather Slip Case (for iPhone 3G/3GS). Nice exact fit. :)

I would probably also order the Tech21 iBand using D30 when it comes out the end of this month simply because of the demo they showed with the iPod Touch sporting an iBand being thrown against the wall and being dropped from the second floor onto concrete and stones. :)

Just got my Snap today in the mail. Ordered from costco online, shipped on thursday and arrived today. This is pretty much the perfect case for me. It's thin, rises slightly above the front, doesn't have the apple logo cutout (casemate), and has a matte finish. I can't see any flash disruption, but I may just not have keen enough eyes. However, I'm pretty sure there's none.

Hey- For those that ordered this case- how was it shipped- was is USPS/us mail or a package carrier like ups or fedex?

Tx

Mine came via USPS from My Gear Store.

Great thanks. I ordered mine from them also- a weekago last Thursday- hoping it would arrive before I had to go out of town. Of course it didn't arrive and needed to know if it would be with my stopped mail- or if I should have a neighbor check my front door.

Forgot to say that my case from costco online came with 2 of each screen protector for a total of 4. I'm not sure if this is how it is for everyone or what but I thought I'd mention it.

Cool! Was it 2 pairs of 1 for the front and 1 for the back? Or 4 front ones (2 clear and 2 anti-glare). The one from My Gear Store just came with 2 front screen protectors (1 clear and 1 anti-glare).

Love the Sonix. Beautiful feel, elegant matte finish, and great protection for back of phone ( also isn't advertising Apple product). Looks like a case Apple would design.:p

Think this was asked before but didn't see a response. Is anyone using this with a back skin - like the wrapsol? I've got the original matte wrapsol on now and hate to pull it off if I don't have to.

Thanks.

Just got mine today from MGS. It seems mine is different than the one in the video. Mine actually covers the top of the phone and has a cut out for the volume and silent switch. The back also seems to extend slightly past the bottom of the phone. I bought this because I heard it will work with the TomTom car kit but because of the redesign it no longer will fit. It's still a nice case though.

I'm using it with a back skin - wrapsol ultra. Already had it on and saw no reason to remove it.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8A293 Safari/6531.22.7)

Just picked one up and it's definitely been redesigned since it first came out. The camera hole looks bigger, and the top is more covered. It's pretty nice but the little humps on the front edge are kinda dumb. There are also a couple of rough edges here and there.

It comes with 2 screen protectors; regular and anti glare. I was intrigued by the anti glare but on inspection, it's only moderately less reflective than the regular one...not worth removing my current film to replace it with this.

It was 4 for the front, 2 clear and 2 anti-glare. But after trying out one of the anti glare and determining I didn't like it, I slapped it on the back to protect for an debris that might get in there until I get a real back protector. The case fits fine with it on the back.

I didn't even realize until reading your post but mine is different than the video too! I like the redesign more than the original, so it all works out. Another difference is that the sonix logo on the back is just carved out instead of printed in white.

Just so everyone is aware, there is flash problems with this case. It washes pictures out, just tried it in a pitch black room with and without the case. Without the case, color representation was correct and with the case it was washed out.

i think i might have to get this and use instead of my feather. the fit seems similar if not better cause it rises up the side higher. Althought the incipio for some reason still has a cleaner look to it. But more importantly the rubberized coating is not coming off very easily as with the incipio. interesting.

i bought this case a couple weeks ago and its the redesign with the top covered and black carved logo on the back. the only problems i have with the case is the finish is starting to peel around the corners and all along the front edges and i am getting junk on the back coming through the opening for the ringer switch/volume buttons.

Nice grip, low overall quality & durability

Same here - bought the case on July 1st, and liked it quite a lot because of the good rubbery grip. Only downside from the start was the too small opening for the flash, which resulted in reflections on photos taken with the LED flash. After a few weeks, the rubber cover started to peel off at the edges, and two weeks ago the first corner fractured and broke-off. By now two corners of the case are missing (see pictures), and a third one shows a large fracture. I was carrying the phone in my front pocket most of the time, hence there was no undue stress on the SONIX Snap! case. Was expecting better durability for a US$20 case ...

Mine started to crack too and I didn't even drop it once. Garbage case made out of worse material.

Ya what the heck! I loved this case until it started to crack and fall apart like everyone has been saying.
