Not so good long term support though. Buy a new gen of your previous-gen speaker or get grandfathered out of the next major Sonos app update.
Way better than most. Many of those products are over a decade old and the fact that Sonos still supports them is unheard of in the consumer electronics space.

Sonos can only dream about reaching that level, laughable! Sonos is nothing but an eyesore with atrocious user experience. Its sound quality might pass for third-world countries, but it's an absolute joke for Apple users.
Is that why my AirPod Max stopped working after less than 2 years? It’s a major issue they refuse to address. I’ll level with you, Apple doesn’t care about product longevity. They want you to buy the new version of everything, all the time. They contribute to massive waste and an egregious display of consumerism.

Apple Homepod:
Gen 1 - released 8/2018, discontinued 3/2021.
Gen 2 - released 2/2023, discontinued ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

1st Gen HomePod is still getting software updates. For that matter, my 4th Gen Apple TV still gets tvOS updates.

(Also, there’s the HomePod Mini, I’ve lost track of how long they’ve been on the market for, but they’re still currently sold.)
