Say what?! You must have totally botched your install for you to make it sound WORSE! Lmao!Bought Sonos soundbar and my LG CX had a better sound so sent it back.
Not rly impressed.
I'm really confused, why not just a second hand Airport express? I am sure I am missing something. For me, this has been one of the best 'hacks' I did in recent years. Modding IKEA Symfonisk's into built-in AirPlay enabled amps for real floorstanding bi-amped Hi-Fi speakers (KEF iQ70 in this case):
Amazing sound, amazing usability for an amazing price (less than 500 € in total). Really recommend spending an evening on this.
That requires an additional amplifier. Those Symfonisk's contain a beefy 100W amp (in mono, or 2x50W bi-amped as I'm using them). This means just a power cord each going into the left & right speaker. Not a central amp with two speakers wires running through the room towards the speakers. Basically you get extremely high quality Sonos speakers in a stereo pair for cheap.I'm really confused, why not just a second hand Airport express? I am sure I am missing something.
No, LG CX literally sounded better to me.Say what?! You must have totally botched your install for you to make it sound WORSE! Lmao!
Ahhhhhh now I understand, thanks for explaining (not that up on Hifi stuff), sounds pretty cool! I'm also running Key speakers (101 Reference models) linked to a Nad amp linked to an Airport Express. That requires an additional amplifier. Same. I’ll keep my sealed 18” Epik from back in the day when the company was still around. There’s no replacement for (air) displacement.I'll keep my SVS PB1000 that's 1000w, audiophile quality, and was only $500.
I tried this but it said my unidays code can't be applied to the sub mini. How did you manage?Just ordered mine. It's £429.00 but I have a 15% student discount (thanks little brother) which brings it down to £364.65.
It’s called the Beam. I literally have both mate. Trust me, you were doing something wrong… what though, I can’t imagine. No, LG CX literally sounded better to me.
But this TV has a very good sound compared to other TVs imo.
Also it was the smaller budget Sonos sound bar, not sure what was the name.
Sounded very narrow and lacked low end.
Maybe they disabled it. I didn’t do anything special just added the code.I tried this but it said my unidays code can't be applied to the sub mini. How did you manage?
Have you tried LG CX sound, or just not wanting to believe? It’s called the Beam. I literally have both mate. Trust me, you were doing something wrong… what though, I can’t imagine.
Looks like prices in UK/EU and in Canada are pretty good! Considering the 'official' hot inflation announcement today. This looks really good. I am curious about UK/EU prices though :/
I have seen people saying sound in LG CX is bad so I'm not sure if it was updated down the line or what, since mine sounds good and has a lot of low end.Probably defective ? I have a LG CX, and my gen 1 beam blows it away.
I got the same error message. I reasoned it might be because it's a pre-order, though. So maybe it's worth trying again in 3 weeks.I tried this but it said my unidays code can't be applied to the sub mini. How did you manage?
I just noticed these t&cs on the unidays website:I got the same error message. I reasoned it might be because it's a pre-order, though. So maybe it's worth trying again in 3 weeks.
THIS is the price I would go forMy company has a 15% discount with Sonos and it works. I think I'll pull the trigger and see if I like it or need the Gen 3.
