I just noticed these t&cs on the unidays website:

Discount is available to verified UNiDAYS members only. This is a single use code and cannot be used in combination with any other discount code(s), vouchers and/or promotions. Purchases can only be made via Sonos.com and must be for personal use and not for resale. Discount will not apply to any amount over EUR 1000 or equivalent in a local currency. Discount does not apply to new products, Sub Mini, Limited or Special edition products and/or refurbished products. At its discretion, Sonos reserves the right to change terms and conditions Sonos’ standard terms and conditions will govern any purchase. Products newer than 6 months are excluded.
Weird, I wonder why my unidays code worked. I did pre-order almost as soon as it was up, maybe they saw my order and then blocked the codes 😅

Have you tried LG CX sound, or just not wanting to believe? ;)
Yep. It’s why I, and many others bought one. A colleague of mine was always moaning about the sound on her CX. Buy a beam I said. She can’t believe she didn’t do it sooner. I have the added advantage of surrounds too, but I will admit they did not offer much compared to the initial upgrade.

The bass is good, but obviously no sub-bass, which is what I would really like to add.

With my 15% discount I’ve pre-ordered this straight away to compliment my Play One stereo pair which I use exclusively for music. If you are on the fence and want to wait for the reviews don’t forget that Sonos have a good return policy if it’s not for you. May as well get in early on the pre order and try it out for yourself!

People love the Sonos stuff even though the quality is average and all of it is overpriced. The app is what sells Sonos and as we have learned with all products dependent on apps there will be an EOL sooner rather than later.

Sonos is the millennial version of Bose which is more for boomers IMO. Great products but not a great value.

I have seen people saying sound in LG CX is bad so I'm not sure if it was updated down the line or what, since mine sounds good and has a lot of low end.

As for Sonos Beam it just lacked low end, and sounded quite narrow. I don't think it was defective.

CX was not updated for sound. It was replaced by the C1 (and now the C2). Guessing that poster got a defective Sonos.

It’s called the Beam. I literally have both mate. Trust me, you were doing something wrong… what though, I can’t imagine.
Do your tv's have Dolby Atmos? The CX does. Believe me, it sounds incredible and no sound bar is needed for the LG

Does it only match with Airplay speakers or the old Sonos speakers too? This article makes it sound like it only works with the newer ones
SONOS explained it a bit awkwardly. It will be able to be paired with SONOS AirPlay capable speakers that are not battery powered. This means (can be confirmed in SONOS web page) from SONOS One Gen 1 from 2017 and newer models.

My prior statement seems to be wrong. Here are the supported models:
But I think the older ones can't be paired directly. Suspense until October 6th ...

Only works with S2.....bummer.
Hold on a sec. Where does it say that?? I pre-ordered and plan to use it with my Sonos Playbase + 2 Sonos One SL units (bedroom TV setup). I only use the S1 app to control my entire system (there's a bunch of other older units elsewhere). Will it not work in this case? :/
