Don’t see anywhere that has white ones available? Just silver/black

It's just two tone colour, I am not sure where are you reading that info from. It's off-white/beige another word not silver as actual colour. I know the website calls it Silver - that is just misleading a bit.

AirPods can’t even last 2 years dude. AirPods Pro seem to last even less. Stop trolling. Stop defending daddy Apple.
Who? Me? Defending Apple? LOL, No, just look at my posts. All Airpods sucks at this too, their batteries are even worse, yes. It was more generally, any new battery driven gadget won’t last that long. They are build to break between 3-5 years, and his wired AKGs would probably last another 12 years.

I prefer boring, I don't want anything flashy during Team meetings or calls at work. I'm not a kid who needs attention.
Also, Sony doesn't employ Michael Bay to name their products. It just looks like the name an engineer would use.

I suspect Apple does.

I could be interested in these. The Apple AirPods Max puts too much pressure on my head. So maybe these Sony WH-1000XM5 could be great all day office headphones.
Same here. I ended up returning my AirPods Max cause it hurt to wear them for too long. The XM4's have been good to me.

I just went to B&O’s website and they don’t look very B&Oish to me as there’s far fewer parts to the cups than you find on B&O designs.
I didn't say they were identical, jeez. I see a similarity with this though.

That's odd, maybe it is your head size, but to me, the AirPods Max is the most comfortable headset that I have ever worn. When I wear them I don't even notice them. Perfect fit for me.

When I take off the Apple AirPods Max, there are imprints of the pads on my head. That is some serious clap force the Apple AirPods Max has.

My Bose QC35II, NC 700 and WH-1000XM3 don’t leave imprints on my head after wearing them.

So it is impossible that the Apple AirPods Max is the most comfortable headphone when it has the highest clamp force out of all ANC headphones I have.

I have the 4’s and they work great for air travel. The AirPodMax’s are TOO heavy. That‘s the primary reason I didn’t buy them. Second reason is the price. Third reason is the ugly webbed head bar that looks very weak, flimsy, and stainable to me.

They said for them it's the most comfortable. I have a fairly large head and also find them very comfotable. I feel the force is jut right - not too tight as to cause soreness, nor too lose so that if I bent over, they'd fall off.

These Sony's sure look nice too, though. Tempted to buy them just for fun, but don't really need them ?

Wearing these Sony’s really looks like you’re wearing headphones. AirPods max at least look like you’re wearing something aesthetically better than plastic coffee cups over the ears. ☕

From the article:

Sony's WH-1000XM5 headphones cost $399 – $50 more than the XM4's – and come in white, silver and black colors.

Bummer they got rid of the folding design. That's something I've always appreciated with my QC35s as it makes traveling with them so much easier. Just realized those headphones are going on 7 years old! Aside from replacing the earcups once they've been amazing headphones. Might try to pickup a pair of XM4s on discount to try them out

You can just tap them to your phone. They will pair via NFC.

Although not with an iPhone, because Apple. Same reason why we don’t have LDAC despite it being free to use.
The encoder of LDAC is open-source under Apache License 2.0, so that any device can be coded to transmit LDAC streams without patent or licensing issues. The decoder design remains proprietary and requires a license.
