I gave a really thorough college try to XM3 and they sucked big time.

The peeping sound that happened in cold weather and no way to turn it off, headphones turned itself off in cold weather, way too much bass, sound is muffled. Songs skipping by itself, touch in the right earcup would never work if hands were sweatty or wet.

I could probably list even more flaws but I think thats enough for now, that said Sony lost me as a customer for good.

Oh this has my interest! I am looking to replace my 700’s do to the noise cancellation just not being good anymore (which I think a mic or 2 went bad) and not being able to use them for conference calls anymore. I thought about the qc45’s but I’ll hold off until these come out.

if you guys want good sound quality headphones, the Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless is the way to go. Airpods Max, 1000XM4, and Bose Quietcomfort 35 are all beneath the Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless.
Also consider B&W P7. Having compared them to all of the above plus the Bose 700, the P7 were easily the best, IMHO.

Price matters.

In this segment, comparable headphones costing $200 USD less than the AirPod Max can definitely steal sales away from Apple.

I actually tried an AirPod Max today and was surprised at it's compact size. For some reason, it looks huge in marketing pics. And while it sounded very good, I don't think it's worth the extra $200. And with Sony's, you can occasionally find them on sale.

I always forget about Sennheiser making good headphones. All of my mics that I use for work are Sennheiser yet I somehow forget about SEnnheiser headphones.
These look nice.. looking forward to the reviews.

I have the XM1's. Love them, but after a couple hours they get heavy and "warm" in the ear cups. No surprise for this type of headphone. I'm likely to jump on these. It's upgrade time even though my XM1 are still great. These look lighter. No way I would ever buy the Apple headphones.

I've always been a fan of Sony products, still using their MDR-7506 and MDR-V6 headphones today.

I've been intending to try their newer models, might just give these a try given that their XM4's have been rated so highly, and this looks to be a significant improvement.
LOL Me too on the MDR-7506. My third set of replacement ear pads came in the mail today. I've had these forever, and though I have a pair of AirPods 2nd Gen, I always use the Sonys when I'm relaxing at home with some music, and also they are my go to when recording on Logic Pro.

A little off topic but has anyone tried or owns the Sennheiser True Wireless 2 EarBuds? If so, thoughts please. My AirPod Pros are having a big @$$ issue connecting as “these aren’t your airpod pros” or “connection failed” so I have the new qc ANC earbuds while I like those they have a few quirks but sound and anc is a little better than the AirPod Pro that I have. I have the Sennheiser HD600 over the ears wired and I love those but with the lack of the 3.5mm jack and I did try with the lightening to 3.5mm but after a lot of use the dongle would start failing big time, volume would be all over the place then songs wouldn’t even play. Thanks.

I hate the new design. Thankfully already have the XM4 so all is well.

Or maybe not so much, when there's no music playing, I can still hear others speaking around me. Not that loud, but still. One would expect something better from the 2nd best ANC on the market (the 1st one being the Airpods Max, for the record, but it's way too expensive).
