It’s is funny how many people get irritated at those that want a Mini, but nobody seems to complain about those that want the Pro Max version.

If you get frustrated about someone wanting a Mini, why?

Wouldn’t it be nice if everyone could purchase what they so choose? I think so.

It's funny, when people see my 13 Mini, they ask "what phone is that??" and then when they hold it they say "wow, I actually like this, I kind of wish my phone was this small!" Unfortunate that the sales numbers did not justify its continuation. I just don't think it was marketed very well.

Still love my 13 Mini and will continue using it until it dies most likely. I just do not want/need anything larger in my pocket.

Because there are limited engineering resources at Apple. Developing a new mini phone that nobody wants takes away from other priorities.

Right. People here like to laugh at the Mini market. But we are real. I’d buy a new iPhone today if Apple made a mini sized phone. As it is, Apple isn’t getting my money. I’ll hold onto my 12 until it dies.

Same (but with 13 Mini) -- I have no clue why folks celebrate this as they do

Apple is all but pushing me out of the ecosystem by continuing to narrow the options in the lineups and leaving entire swaths neglected.

That's not "good"

Exactly. People on here cry about it constantly, but if the damn thing sold it wouldn't have been taken out of the lineup to begin with.
Most people are sheep who watch Netflix, Tiktok and other brain pollution on their mobiles. So big screens rule the market. Tyranny of the majority.

It's a pity Apple aren't "thinking differently" and catering for the more productive people that use their phones for calls, emails, apps and the odd browsing. All things the Mini is superior at, for virtue of being small and pocketable.

The 12 Mini didn't sell because Apple hobbled it with a crap battery, and unfortunately that became the enduring reputation of the Mini, even after they fixed it with the 13 Mini.

The irony is: Not an insignificant number of those people likes the Vision Pro, and they act offended when others say that AVP is not a success and most people don’t care for it

Exactly

And one of these lower volume items is an actual iPhone that is intensely useful

I'd argue the AVP is largely an entertainment bauble at this point in time.

I had used my iPhone SE 1st Gen for years span until iPhone X and I would buy mini if it had full features especially better camera as pro version since it would provide me a better secure grip in my small hands.

Want a mini? Just buy an Apple Watch. Can't get much smaller than that.

[Sorry - I couldn't resist. 😇]
Well you are correct. Instead of upgrading to a new/bigger iPhone I bought the Apple Watch. Great to use the Apple Watch with cellular and leave the iPhone home.

I know this will fall on deaf ears...

I would like to see them resurrect the SE 2022 and the 8 Plus. I want touch ID and LCD.

Apple's best design days were in the past. There is no future to look forward to.

Buying an Apple product now is like visiting a dentist. You know it's going to hurt, but you do it because there's no choice.

In my case, because of OLED and temporal dithering, I will be looking elsewhere. I hope we get TCL NXTPAPER here in the US.

It's amazing to me that Apple doesn't see the value in continuing to release an updated Mini in the same casing from the 13 Mini.

Aren't their chips getting more efficient?

It seems like better and newer phone internals could be slotted into the same casing every few years to keep this market satiated and the customers in the iOS ecosystem.

So odd.

Apple could make a smaller iPhone with dimensions of the original iPhone and name it iPhone Origin.

And! Make an arrangement with carriers whereby an iPhone customer can add the smaller iPhone like adding a Watch Ultra; use the same plan.

It's hardly odd. Apple tried selling a mini phone before and it didn't sell. That's why they're not selling one now.

Not unexpected out of the modern Apple which puts margins above everything. My iPhone 12 mini is still working very well and the battery is enough to last me the entire day, even while traveling. I have a backup 13 mini in case the 12 mini breaks. I'm just starting to wonder if I should've gotten 256 GB instead of 128GB, even though I'm only using half of 128GB and can free up more space if I delete some unused apps.

If they think the price point is the problem, I honestly wouldn't mind them dropping the ultrawide lens to get the price point lower. I never used it since it doesn't have autofocus.
