Sounds like someone hasn't been paying attention to news...Totally agree. The excitement for future Apple products is quite low (historically low actually).
On the iPhone side, and aside for some minor improvements which are expected each year (slightly better cameras and display, performance gain due to new chip, design tweaks, etc), nothing major seems to be on the horizon in terms of core technology. Same applies for the iPad and Apple Watch. Glucose and blood pressure sensors on the Apple Watch could be big big improvements, converting the Apple Watch is extremely useful health tracker device, but we already heard rumors that the technology is still not there. Vision Pro is great and promising, but not 3,500$ great at least not in its current generation. On the AirPods and HomePod field, there are no rumors about anything really interesting or exciting coming out anytime soon. Apple Car is dead. MicroLED development and deployment in existing products seems to be problematic and uncertain based on the latest rumors. Apple TV+ is getting some new shows and movies from time to time, but the existing content library is still quite reduced and it does not appear that we will get a ton of new content anytime soon. Apple Arcade seems to be struggling and soon to be closed (if we believe the latest rumors). The future of Siri seems uncertain and Apple is obviously lacking behind in AI field.
Either Apple is doing extremely good work on hiding what they are working on and there are 0 leaks, or the next 12-24 months would be extremely boring in terms of new Apple products and services.
"In a move highlighting its aggressive push into artificial intelligence, Apple reportedly acquired over 30 AI startups in 2023, exceeding the acquisitions of any other tech giant. This aggressive strategy puts Apple at the forefront of the AI race, potentially shaping the future of its products and services."
