There is something about the leather loop ridges that I find oddly unattractive against my space black. I loved the thought of the storm gray one when released but saw it in person and was not a fan at all of the setup and look of those bumps. Personal choice though as I am holding out for the gray leather buckle whenever that is seen in the wild for an idea if i want it. Will just need to figure out adapters.

Are you referring to the individual magnets that make up the loop? I guess design is subjective.

I wouldn't buy an Apple classic buckle for the space black watch though, no matter the color. I don't believe I should have to spend $150 on a band and then tear it apart to add third-party adapters and buckles to get it to look semi-decent. That's just my opinion.

Plus I just like the modern design of the LL rather than the traditional buckle. More engineering and consideration went into its design and it's more of a unique product.

yes the individual magnets. And yes taste is subjective and if you enjoy it, perfect! It isn't for me as I do not like the design at all especially for the price.

I just bought a 38mm Sport Band for a great price. I can't wait! I thought about 42 but I can't stand big watches. I think I'll really enjoy it. I'll post pics as soon as I get it.

I also thought the leather loop had more engineering than the classic buckle until I owned one. It turns out the buckle looks like floating because you don't see the end of the leather wrapped around anything. That's gorgeous. The holes and the clasp fit perfectly in a way that you can use one hand effortlessly unlike any other buckle I have ever used. It seems quick and soft and perfect, just like attaching an smart cover. That is also design. Lastly, the clasp looks fused with the buckle, one piece. It's gorgeous too.

Received the storm gray leather loop today. Loving the new color. Some comparison shots. My trusty fog sports band thrown in for good measure. :)

I'm sure Apple put thought into the classic buckle too. They would never release anything they didn't put their process through. I just appreciate the leather loop design more as it's innovative and new.

Looks pretty damn slick - thanks for sharing. My favourites are now the Storm Grey and Black for my upcoming leather loop

Just don't like being the only one posting pictures for a while, you know?

Usual packaging. Nice presentation.

Can confirm that the stitching is black.

Always like showing Mickey on the black bands because of him being centered in the glow on the black background.

The "batman edition", my favorite combo!

This may be a really stupid question but I have searched all over the forum and cant find anything directly related to the SB Link Band. How is everyone cleaning their Space Black link bracelet?

Finally a SBSS owner for about a week now. Big question is whether or not to keep it with the pending reveal of the Watch 2.

I think the Watch 2 will come out in September alongside the iPhone 7 and they'll have some complimentary design. That's my thoughts.

I took the plunge and repurchased a sport 42mm. I figured this would be the better option right now just in case it gets upgraded in September. No regrets.

I am about to buy one since they are on sale! A question to all of you here in this thread, having had the SBSS for a while now, are there any bands in particular you like with this watch? Of course I'll have the sport band with it but I'm curious to see what else you guys like. Going to price match the Best Buy sale at Target and use a red card.

I got the Apple Link Bracelet and like it. Still, it's really hard to justify the $549 price tag this thing commands, though.

The Sport band that I used for two weeks was very good. Comfortable and well made; just wasn't what I was looking for in a watch. I think I'd give the woven nylon strap for the "traditional" look before wanting to use the sport band...but that's just me.

Not to mention the official link band would cost more than the watch with this sale!

I'm really liking the Space Black Milanese Loop. Bought it a few weeks ago now, and I think it is both better looking and more comfortable than the link (which is still very good).

I have a cheap ultrasonic cleaner I got from Amazon. I put the band in it with some warm water and a drop of dish soap and in a few minutes it comes out looking like new. You can disassemble any removable links if you feel like it. I usually wipe down the watch body itself while the band is cleaning.

Just ordered mine. 38mm SBSS with sport band. I'll post a picture when I get it!

It's really a great watch... First and foremost that's the thing it should be and it is. Second favorite thing by far is notifications and third activity tracking - great great watch - Might go for second gen as well, but let's see...

Is JETech still a good third party option for Milanese loops and link bracelets? And brand you all recommend?
