It's space grey; due to the fact that it's surrounded by all black, it looks darker.
This is just a result of your eyes (or rather your brain) being tricked.
The white one looks lighter because it's surrounded by all white.
So it really doesn't matter what color you get; you just want to show off the fact that you bought something new. Needy is is a good way to describe that type of behavior.
The black-on-black ring on space grey looks much better than if it were another color. Apple's designers has tried other options (i.e space grey, silver) and the current version looks the most sleek.
I kind of don't understand some people's snarky comments on this thread. People have different preferences, that's what it comes down to. Some people love the all-black front ... I love the buttons of the white iPhones ... I was going to get a black phone this year, but when I saw it during the presentation, it didn't draw me to it like the other 2 did. Part of that was because of the button.
I agree...the whole point of having forums are to share your ideas/thoughts. People that are just knocking other's thoughts is pointless and a waste of time. That being said, I agree with the fact that the space gray just didn't attract me as much. I like the idea of not having the square on the home button. I also like how the silver looks, so I bought the white/silver. I could care less if others see my phone and say "it's a 5s". I just like how the ring looks so much better than past home buttons.
Not sure I'd consider taking life advice from someone called "Knowlege Bomb".
I'm pretty sure the pic on the box is computer generated and they probably lightened it so it "sticks out" so it could be "seen".
Then hazaah to the photog!Nope, it's an actual photograph, by a photographer as perfectionist as Steve Jobs and Jony Ive.
I actually never noticed this. The sensor works flawless for me though.

Exactly. You couldn't have explained it better.
That should be flawlessly.
I don't normally do grammar/spelling posts but this thread is full of nit-picking so I thought why not join in![]()
