Yea cause no one cares about the design aesthetics...you can't be serious.
Yes, jam some hyperbole in there when you can't respond to the actual arguments.
They only have a multi-million dollar add campaign that focuses on the GOLD RING. But you're right as long as it's functional no one gives a damn what it looks like.
Actually, their ad campaign focuses on the GOLD IPHONE. I watched probably the same commercials you did. It shows off the entire phone. Any emphasis on the gold ring that you're imagining is highlighting that the Touch ID is present on this phone.
Furthermore, you can act like a drama queen about it all you'd like, but no amount of arguing you make about Apple's multi-million dollar ad campaign detracts from the fact that you're upset because a tiny ring on the front of your phone is black instead of dark gray.
Why the hell do you think they offer multiple colors? Clearly a lot of people would like the space gray ring.
See, now you're just stating random thoughts.
I wanted a black and gold iPhone. I thought the gold ring would look beautiful against the black faceplate. I didn't get it. By the time the iPhone keynote ended, I was over it.
Want to hear a secret? I, too, thought the Space Gray iPhone would have a noticeably gray ring. Then I got it, opened the box, and noticed it was black. I got over the lack of a gray ring because I thought the black ring looked nice. I didn't get upset because people are less likely to see it, or because Apple's normally so committed to aesthetics and having a tiny, minuscule piece of metal be darker than what it looked like in the pictures makes me feel betrayed as a consumer.
So yes, technically, as far as taste goes, I'm in agreement with you. The space gray ring would've been nice. You're still being a baby about it.
No one ever said it wasn't a great, functional device. Some simply find it odd that this design element didn't make into the space gray version.
I'm not talking about "some people." Or "a lot of people." I'm talking about you, and anybody like you who apparently is dissatisfied enough with your phone that you'd have to sign onto a forum to cry about how your phone doesn't make you look exclusive enough.
Want to turn heads with your phone? Don't use a case, or use a clear case. Many people will see the black and gray and know that it isn't the iPhone 5.
I sincerely hope you and your phone learn to be happy together in spite of your differences. And I hope you get enough compliments on how new and different your phone looks, in spite of the fact that you bought an -s model iPhone, which historically never looks different from its predecessor. At least yours looks a little different.
