Stuck in processing purgatory.

Yes me. And i'm ****ing pissed. Not at you. At Apple. They promised this would be processed in order received but if someone was quoted later shipping date than i was and they're getting their order first something is ****ed.

Nothing. No change in order status. no charge. no UPS track by reference. Just nothing.

Thanks Apple.

Mines shows delivery by Tuesday. I requested a hold for pickup. We will see if they don't mess it up.
I did the same. But I expect it to be there tonight. My typical deliveries that come through Harrisburg usually get here (Western CT) overnight. Even the ones scheduled further out. I'll check in the morning to see if they have it and if they don't then that won't be terrible.

Still trying to understand how this works...

I ordered a SG 42 w/ Black Strap
Status: Processing
Email Time: xx:06
Window: Apr 24 - May 8
Charged: No
Location: Melbourne, Australia

Funnily enough I actually tried to order literally seconds after the orders went live, but my card was declined and it took me a few precious minutes to work out why.

My friend who ordered the exact same as me as soon as the orders went live received his on Friday the 24th. Does anyone have any other updates?

I could understand if it was just because I ordered a few minutes after my friend, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds it annoying to see people who were expecting theirs in June get them already (not that I'm not happy for them).

Why bother advertising not missing out if your not going to send things in order :apple:?

Yep. Tomorrow is when I finally contact them. Comparing email times with everyone was one thing, and helped pass the time, but people in a later window getting shipped first is BS.

My watch is scheduled for Tuesday delivery and is coming from Mount Juliet, TN and I live in AZ. How about everyone else?

Mine shows the same. I'm not sure how accurate the Mt Juliet location is, as I don't think I've seen actual arrival/departure scans from anybody's tracking info from there.

I am left thinking, as others have for some time, that this is all done on purpose. Newsflash: Apple will sell millions of watches and iPhones. Since you announced it so long ago, why not start making them by the millions?
Newsflash 2: Space Grey/Black Band will likely be the most popular combination. Do they use focus groups for this stuff?
Newsflash 3: When you pre-orders open up - for the iPhone, iPad and Watch - allocate more servers and bandwidth for a few days. The extra capacity will get used and it will make people happy...happy to spend their money at 3am eastern time.

Rant over.

Oh is it required here to have more than 2 posts before one can post an honest response your criticism? Maybe I should have started a new thread for everyone at once. I'm here in earnest to try to understand the delivery schedule, but mostly what I see is borderline hysteria about this travesty. I think your post broke the camel's back, so my apologies. In any case, I said that I wasn't trying to pick on you specifically, as your post may or may not be a part of the self-indulgent whining. You said that Apple's defenders were missing a point, and I think you are wrong about that. I think people willing to criticize Apple over the minutiae of the watches' distribution are manufacturing a crisis out of nothing more than their own impatience.

Sorry your feelings got hurt. I'll be sure to comment absentmindedly for a few months before the next Apple "fiasco" so my posts will carry meaningless weight instead of relying on words and ideas. Until then, I'm happy to go back to my life.

Quit raining on our Pity-parade!:apple:

You don't just 'allocate more servers' out of thin air. That costs A LOT of time and money. To spend millions (not an exaggeration as load during the launch window would be upwards of 100X normal) for the mere hour or so that everyone would hit the site is ridiculous. It's for the same reason they don't spin up hundreds of factories. What do you do with all that 'extra' equipment when the demand returns to normal levels?
