JIT doesn't mean you can't meet demand nor should it "leave stuff on a shelf". JIT means you anticipate the next period sales and then set your production plan to meet that. The fact you are ordering and waiting 4-6 weeks or longer, and yes because of 1 minute, means they completed a poor sales analysis. Personally I think they were nervous about the watch being a flop so hedged their bets and didn't produce a ton. Also, with the Taptic issue published today, you would be able to be better prepared to deal with such an issue if you had better control over supply chain management.

lol, 'sales analysis'? What sales analysis. This is a brand new product never sold by Apple before. The second the product was ready it's being churned out at full capacity of all their factories (hence every single model not available till June). The argument that they hold back sales until they have sufficient quantity is ludicrous. 500k+ watches is enough stock. There has yet to be a product that Apple launches (even refreshes) that doesn't sell out immediately.

Lets see, as a business, should you invest millions/billions into factories so that people don't have to wait a few extra weeks, but then it'll cost you $$$ while they sit relatively idle until the next product release.

The same people bitch and moan about Apple's business practices/strategies over and over, but seem to fail to notice that Apple's stock has only gone UP. While the stock price isn't everything, it's a decent indicator of how good a business is being run. Oh and the fact that you can SELL EVERYTHING YOU PUT ON A SHELF!!! Doesn't matter how YOU want to look at it, that's a good business to be in.

It's going to be a "processing" party tonight!

Full of drinks and good people.

Looking forward to it. This is my last hope to get one before I fly out Sunday. If I don't get charged today or early tomorrow I'll be screwed as I won't be at home to sign for it next week (assuming it arrives by then).

Hey look mine just came in :)

:( I wish still waiting 42mm SG sport XX:08:11

I understand that cause one of my watches did that. Went from June to early May. But my question is say I check my status now 1008pm est could the status actually change now or would it only update say tomorrow around 8am. The
Processing only updates when the prepare to ship. Though some people have had their delivery window changed both earlier and later while still in Processing.

So I've been following and decided to jump in
42 SG
Ordered 4/10

I've jumped ship.
It has been fun watching and waiting with the SG Sport-ers.
The thread talking about sweat getting into the sports model and making the crown hard to turn has me worried. As a runner...I think that would be a huge issue.

Cancelled and ordered a SS 42mm Black Sport Band.

Seriously though, its been fun tracking with you all! Best of luck!!
