It's obvious there's a backlog/production issue with black bands and/or space grey bodies. I feel like Apple MUST be working on a solution. People within only 5mins of ordering are only being charged and shipped now...with that rate people ordering hours or even a day or two after will be MUCH further than June...the June estimate should tell us they must be confident in getting it worked out sooner than later.
That's true, but they generally don't have to unpack each and every box. Customs for such large routine shipments are usually palletized and pass thru in one quick shot while refueling. Also, anyone that's flown internationally knows that shipments can arrive in one US state, but go thru customs in a secondary state (i.e., I arrive in NY with my luggage, but my luggage is taken straight from the NY plane and taken to Chicago where I arrive and go thru customs with it). Not saying that's how things are done with UPS, but it does mean that shipments don't have to go thru customs immediately.

Only thing is that UPS always shows up in the afternoon.

Order changed to preparing to ship sometime between 3:30 am and me waking up around 7am.
Order shipped 4/29/15 at 4:06pm
Tracking information appears in the morning, but showed it leaving CA at 7:20pm on 4/29/15
Arrived to my house in the NJ area around 12pm 4/30/15
Its been a crazy stressful week with all you fine folks. I hope eveyone else gets their watches as quickly as possible. Please pass around this information to everyone else who needs it.
Other facts:
Cards are NOT CHARGED when the planes leave Asia. They are charged at some point when the watches are in the U.S.
Card charges seem to happen around 12-2pm and in the overnight times
all my times are EST.

This definitely makes me think I'm probably getting mine tomorrow. And I agree--while some have gotten insanely angry waiting for this thing, I have had a lot of fun checking in on the forums and comiserating with my fellow pre-orderers. It's like a little mini-community. I remember the same thing happening when the iPad 2 came out and everyone was freaking out and checking the forums daily. It's fun to do this sometimes--as long as you can keep things in perspective and realize it's just a toy and that waiting will not kill you.
Same here. I'm a 16 as well. And looking at how slow it's going, im hoping just for the 13-27 time now.
Even outside of waiting. If for some reason it never arrives and Apple decided they're not going to sell them anymore. Who cares. I'm fairly certain everyone's lives will continue to go on.
You are so wrong. We will all be less for not having it. Like pizza without corn on school lunchroom tray.
