FYI. Everyone here SEEMS to think that because, correct or not, that is what the Apple executive team has public stated.

It's obviously false information.. Look through some of these threads.. The orders are all over the place..

I think those of us that got charged yesterday will receive it on Tuesday. I'm hoping for tomorrow, but I am trying to be realistic.

Ya mine was charged on Friday and the ups center received it Saturday morning but I can't pick it up until Monday. So if they did ship them out on Saturday there is a chance for Monday. It just depends if ups picks up on he weekends.

Everyone here seems to that because that is what appears after reading all the posts of that thread and the other ones. And just because it makes sense that the guys at Apple need to follow a particular order to process all the orders from around the world.

The shipping date depends on:
- the order date on Apple servers;
- the model;
- the destination.

U mad bro? :mad:

Yes I am. I PRE ordered on the 11th and I won't get my watch for another month while anyone who is near this store can just walk in, order and generally get one within a day or so. Not cool. And there are even people who preordered on the 10th who still haven't received their watches. Apple botched this. I should cancel my order, but Apple has me hooked so they don't even care that they blew the launch.

Why on earth would that make you mad? Apple is fulfilling watch orders in approximately the order received.

If something like this makes you mad, you're in for a rough life.

Millions for Apple is like thousands for other companies. No, you don't just allocate servers out of thin air, but the cost for Apple would be small relatively speaking. They could lease the equipment and return it or they could buy it, write it off and have it to use during the big launches - apple watch, iPad and iPhone.

More than that, Apple pays less per server because they manufacture them. I suppose they might also temporarily repurpose other servers (like those used for Siri) — although I wouldn't know if that's really practical. Apple has no excuses for not having the server power to handle any requirement it needs.

However, one thing that seemed to go right with this release is that Apple took my order right away. Sure, I was promised 4-6 weeks delivery and didn't get it on the launch day, but I had no issue at all ordering via the Apple Store app. For the iPhone 6 launch, I was waiting and then clicking buttons for an hour before I was able to complete a purchase. I don't think the number of servers was a problem for the Apple Watch release.

My tracking number doesn't display anything yet but I would assume I am due for a Tuesday delivery.

Just got tracking and shipment email from Apple 15min ago. Can't verify delivery date on UPS site just yet. So, so close yet so so far away (literally).:D

Haha. Too bad it missed you before you left. I just got the shipping notification too. My guess is I'll see it Tuesday. And at least yours will be waiting for you when you return.

I think you are welcome to fly to LA if you wish. Then you can jump the queue too. Apple does not owe you anything unless you are also a shareholder. Then they would still only owe you your cut of the Dividend.

Haha. I do own a very small number of shares, but honestly I expect more from the richest company in the world. I did order when it estimated a shipping date of June so that is my own fault, but how can they allow people who did not preorder their product to randomly walk into some high scale fashion boutique and get it within 48 hours while people who pre ordered weeks ago (read as loyal Apple customers for many years) still have to wait another month to get the product. That's poor execution in my opinion.

How about makes me feel a bit jealous of those who have them already and upset that literally anyone who can walk into Maxfields can get a watch within 48 hours while people who preordered a couple of weeks ago and don't live in the area still have to wait another month. It just doesn't seem right.
