Apple only send out email when your order shipped. You can check your order on Apple Website to see the update.
Relax dude. You shouldn't look for an offense when none was intended. What I meant was "WE who have posted XX:Xx:xx". Those who have specified otherwise of course didn't order in the first hour. Those of us who don't specifiy can safely assume that XX:06:11 means, "I ordered in the first hour preorders were available, at the 6th minute, at the 11th second."
It was a work night for many of us, too. You know what we did? Had coffee the next day. I'm sorry that you chose otherwise, but your frustration with the rest of us is unwarranted.

How is everyone figuring out what the seconds were for their order? I have emails that just specify the minute it was sent not the seconds.

I think you are reading way too much into my post. I'm not frustrated with anyone. If you get your watch a week or two before I get mine great. I really don't care. It's unfortunate that someone got the impression that "all of us" in this thread ordered a few minutes after midnight pacific time. So there was a small amount of frustration with the xx:xx notation causing confusion. Sorry you got the impression I was frustrated with you.
Also I wish people on the interwebs would not bother to presume to manage my time or my priorities for me. I needed sleep that particular night more than I need speedy delivery of the latest bling on my wrist and I continue to be happy with the choice I made. I mistakenly assumed a couple of hours wouldn't result in a long delay and I already decided I could live with whatever delay ensued by waiting until I had gotten my required rest. Oh well. Judging from my previous experience with Apple devices when my watch (eventually) comes I will be delighted with it.
I continue to be mildly obsessed with my order status and check it at least once a day. When it flips to "preparing..." I'll do my best to come back and update this thread. Until then, I'll simply lurk.
I think we're getting up into the upper 06s today. Bunch of 06:30-06:50 on multiple threads just went through.
*****, still only in the 06:xx range...Cant' wait till it reaches xx:13:07.
