I got the email. 42mm SG 03:04:06 AM EST. No card charge and processing order status.
Where in the order do you check what second? i got the confirmation email right at 12:03 PST, which was instantly after I placed my order through the Apple Store App.
No need for hope now. As of 6:50 this evening...

Just received an email from Apple at 10pm EST with the invoice for the 42mm SG Sport. My shipping status had changed on Monday. Hope it makes it to my home in Canada on Friday.

I'm still processing and no email.
This apple watch launch has made me insane. I've reached the point where I'm concerned because I haven't received a "consolation" email.
I think it's best just to keep hopeful and assume that this email just went out to try and quell what is probably an insane amount of people contacting customer support about their ship dates.

Yeah if I had just gotten an email from Apple basically promising to deliver something within the window they had initially promised to deliver it, I'd be ****ing pissed too.
Get a grip.
I ordered mine at 12:05. I'm still listed as mid-May and I'm okay with it. Life will go on and I will get my watch when I get it.
I'm expecting it sometime next week, hope is close to Monday and not next Friday..

Received the dreaded email for my 04:24 order for SG 42mm Sport. The outlook for Friday delivery isn't impossible but doesn't look bright. Too bad I wasted time trying to combine my two watch orders using the Apple Store app. The way it went straight to checkout threw my off and was worried multiple orders could cause an issue. At least I should be able to play with my wife's watch if anything LOL
Ha i figured it out
... I got my order confirmation email at !2:03:09 PST. My card was just charged approximately between 6:00PM-6:51PM PST and my order status updated then to "Preparing for shipment" here in the Los Angeles area. PS i know that's when i got charged because I checked before i left work and when i got home.

Got the Email tonight at 10:06 that they are working on my order. 42mm Space Grey 2:04:26 order still showing processing...
So 42mm SG sports sold out in 120 seconds or thereabouts, without the web site being live. I've got to wonder - if they had such a small inventory, why didn't Apple roll out sales on a country by country basis?

38 SG Sport Black. Order XX:02:19 (email confirmation). Deliver window 4/24-⅝. No charge on the credit card yet. Still processing. Just got the email specifically for this order. My wife and I have 3 others on order (38 Silver Sports of various colors). All those have been charged and moved to preparing. No email for those. So I can only take that as a sign the SG Sport will not be here on Friday. I leave for overseas on 4/30. So, hope it gets here before then. Or I will just take the White/Silver Sport I ordered as back up for just this case.
I don't care how you look at this, but Apple messed up this time with the pre-orders. I expect crappy inventory management from carriers pre-orders but thought Apple had a better handle on it. There's not reason they should've given the majority of SG customers the hope of 4/24. It should've been a much smaller window than 4/24-5/8. They should've had a better grip on their supply and updated the customers accordingly.
And then people getting their watches shipped who originally had 4-6 weeks timeframe? Just NO, Apple. But hey at least you guys threw a big party for stupid Earth day, so it's all good, right? Whatever.
