I really hate to pay the $150, but love that blue leather on the SG sport. I might go look at it in person and make a decision. I might have to get it.
I, too, like the looks of the blue leather loop with space grey. I think a little color is a nice variation from all-black.

But besides the money, I'm worried I would wear it out too quickly. I like the black sport band — it's quite comfortable and if wears out, it's just $50 to replace.

I'm hoping they come out with a navy blue version of the sports band for the end-of-year holidays — perhaps they'll have a Star Wars special edition.

Ok, since MixYourWatch.com doesn't have any of the gold bands on there, I did my best with photoshop to recreate this. I think this would look pretty darn good!

What do you guys think?
That looks real nice, but unfortunately that band's not sold separately — you have to get the $15K edition first.

This is why I'm so hesitant to get SG...the limited amount of bands colors that would look nice for it. This is a huge advantage the SS has over this color.

Correct, but the black classic buckle with stainless steel is available. I should have mentioned with the picture, but the idea would be to have the metal parts gold plated.

Despite what some have said I think the SG looks ace with a variety of bands including the Milanese loop. Personally I can't wait for the Product Red sports band to launch as I think that will look ace!

It looks like when people put gold spinners on a smoked out black civic.

That's not a compliment, but if you like it who cares.

I'd use the Sport band for workouts. I'm looking for a classier "everyday" band. I like the metal link as well, but that is more than the watch!

The specialist who helped me also mentioned something about the different metals corroding eachother if you swap them too much, but I'm not sure I believe that. He mentioned that Apple says non-sport bands aren't "officially" compatible with the sport models, but he's getting a black leather loop for his own grey sport watch.

Some dissimilar metals can cause intermetallic corrosion compounds to form if they are in contact for a period of time. Steel and aluminum alloys react in this way.

My brother and I swapped bands for a bit just for fun. Not sure my feelings on the white band with the space gray, not bad but I think I prefer the darker look of the black band. Toying with buying a black leather loop when they are eventually available in store.

I like it looks slick

Has anyone tried the Brown or Stone color Leather Loop on a SG? They look cool on mixyourwatch.com, but you never know how things actually look in person. Looking to get one of those for "fancy time" and the black sports band the rest of the time.

I ordered SGS and the brown leather band. I'll post when it arrives.

Picked up a leather band at the Santa Monica Apple Store and canceled my online order looks great in person

me too.
then i realized that this is at the end of the day, a disposable sport watch.
it's easy to get carried away and continue pouring money into it, but it really doesn't add anything to the watch in the long run.

my 2 cents.

I love the leather bands with the the SGS. If we weren't forced to get the BSB with it Inwould have ordered the black leather loop and either the blue leather loop or waited to see if the navy blue sport band becomes available.

As it stands now, I'm in with the brown leather loop, black sports band. The blue is calling me.
