Oh wow. The Milanese with the SG-SS looks pretty damn good.

Ultimately, the silver band insert doesn't look bad at all when mixed with aluminum or space gray.

I think the problem with any other band other than the Sport Band or Leather Loop with the Sport line is that the part that connects to the Apple Watch is made of stainless steel, so it's supposed to blend with the look of the stainless steel watch. Otherwise, it's looks odd having the stainless steel next to the aluminum.
I ordered a black sport with a blue leather loop after seeing this picture online.Image

yeah I was debating getting the black leather loop. But now I'm kind of considering the Milanese loop.

If anyone has any real life shots of this I would love it as this is what I have a) ordered and b) wear all the time. I pretty much won't wear the black one

I've ordered the Space Grey with the black band, but I think the green strap looks superb.

did you get a 42 or 38? I actually wanna a silver (not space grey) body with black sport strap, so i have a green strap 38mm on preorder, wanna swap bands?

Space Gray Sport with Space Black SS link bracelet?

Hi, does any one have pics or tried this combo?

thoughts?

I have seen both in person and assume it would look fine, but I think no one has tried it because who is going to spend more on the band than the watch?

Looks OK on mixyourwatch.com. I bet you can find them for a few hundred on eBay in a few months. I know a couple of people who are buying the Space Black SS because they want the black stainless watch but don't want to wear a link band.

I feel like black straps are the only colour bands that will work with the space grey :/

I disagree, I think all the sport straps would look good with the space gray...especially the white and green.

42mm Sport Space Gray ordered April 10 with April 11 try-on and May 13-27 delivery.

42mm White Sport Band ordered April 17 with May shipping. After contemplating the White, Blue, and Milanese for a week, I decided 1) White over Blue, based on my style and preference, 2) that if I wanted the Milanese Loop I should cancel the SG and order the SS, which for a first generation product I personally could not justify, and 3) the White band's aluminum accents won't bug me on the SG.

Be Patient

EVERYONE knows that within a month of April 24 Apple will release a Space Gray Milanese watch band, especially since its the best selling model.

Also there're gonna be tons of third party suppliers. The watch band will be the "new iPhone case" even my Grandmother knows that!!!!

What about the silver steel buckle on the rest of the bands?

I was really hoping to match the brown leather buckle band with the space grey sport but sure if the space grey colour will go with the silver of the buckle? Ideally I'd prefer a black/space grey buckle.

I concur! I love the Milanese loop and it looks pretty good with the SG! I think in a few month when they have them in store I'll go buy the Milanese loop and see how it looks IRL. If I don't like the look I'll just return it and get a leather loop (either black or Midnight Blue) so I have a bit more formal band for special occasions.

Really impressed with how easy the links come off the Link bracelet. I have not so fond memories of removing links on my previous watches with a hammer and making holes in my wooden table.

I really like the clash of the SG and the Milanese because they just seem like different pieces that still work. Its like having a different colour t-shirt with shorts. It gives the band more definition and shows a clear distinction to where the watch ends and the band begins.

New sport bands added to mixyourwatch.com, those Jony Ive revealed at Milan Design Week.
Sport Space Gray with Red Band... cool!!!

Doubt we will see those bands released to the general public. But if so, red is what I would go for.
