did that but I think restore thru iTunes fixed the problem as I went to apple store after restore and diagnostics was ran and no issues found. so far I have had no issues with speaker after restore
Hmm. Anyone else confirm this. It hasn't happened often to me but it's def software if it's fixable by restart.

Actually yesterday morning it went out and I’m in the process of going to the apple store right now. Really tired of dealing with this.

It's software. Returning won't do anything. It probably goes away and others aren't noticing.
Yeah well something needs to b done
[doublepost=1539550601][/doublepost]And it’s not occurring on other. Supposedly apple store don’t know anything about it.

There are quite a few threads about it here. Some may be having it and it just starts working again. If it's fixed with a restart and the ear piece works with calls then all leads to iPhone software. Report the bug. We all have to

After my last reset a few days ago, it has not come back. Hopefully it wont happen again cause it already happens 4 times

Oh I’ve reported it. I went to apple store today. Diagnostic came back with no issues. Hopefully it don’t go out again. The genius did take my phone to the back and clean out the ports and earpiece. He said just to do it cause sometimes things get stuck in there well hopefully the problem doesn’t come back.

I don't think it's dirty. The phone barely came out a month ago. It's a defect in software. I tested a phone call and sound came out. But during music ear piece didn't play anything. Restart fixed it right away.

Well today jus right now it went out again. It’s really starting to get annoying and isn’t cool for a phone that cost 1600 dollars. I will b reporting it now once again.

Maybe calling will help. Do you think it's a specific device you are pairing with.

So it would have been no problem at $1599? People keep posting dollar amounts they paid on an Apple enthusiast forum, hint we all know what you paid.

This issue has occurred on all my devices since the 7. It's not constant but it happens every once in a while and was part of my troubleshooting to Apple Store employee's when I was struggling with the X and they acknowledged that they have seen people come forward with this issue so I don't think it's not as uncommon as some are saying.

It happened again. Restart fixed it. Anyone have it and have it go away without a restart.

How do you do a reset of the ram iPhone x

How has it not been fixed by software then

Since it self-corrects with device restarts they don’t seem to take it too seriously according to the tech even though it continues to happen. Basically since Apple can tell people that they just need to reboot their phone and they get feedback that it worked, the problem isn’t a problem.

I had this issue a couple of times on my iPhone XS Max, it was a few days over the 14 day return period. The second time it happened I didn’t bother restarting it and took it into Apple to show them and explained it would work if I restarted, they ran a diagnostic and it came up with a couple of errors. They didn’t tell me what (I saw it on their iPad with exclamations), and offered me a brand new retail box exchange.

So my warranty is now reset, changed to gold and haven’t had the problem since (knock on wood)!

Weird. Don't remember it happening with my x. Let us know if new one does the same.

Lots of bugs auto correct with restart. It's still a bug. Ugh
