No we expect a expensive phone to work correctly
Wow third. Is this only happening to call X's Max. Call Apple support see if they can run tests.

I'd expect the XR to have the same problem. What will your comment be then?
As an adult I understand that even a high price can’t guarantee me an absolutely flawless product and will put my faith in Apple’s excellent customer service to fix the issue. That’s why I’m buying directly at the Apple Online Store and not from some retailer. I want the two weeks trouble-free return policy. At the end of that time, I will know if this gate in particular is a problem for me. The original iPhone 4 #antennagate turned out to be a non-issue.

You have the issue right.

So, my XS is a wonderful device. Mostly. But i do have one anoying issue with it.

Randomly, the top stereo speaker stops working, and the only thing i can do to get it to work, is to restart my phone.

Sometimes it happends few times a day, and sometimes it goes days between times.

I have DFU-restored my device 2 times, without backup (Set up as new iPhone).

Apple support in Sweden is investigating the issue, since they made me upload sysdiagnose logs on 3 occactions.

Anyone else with this problem?
Is it hardware/software-related?

I feel scammed by Apple. In Sweden, the XS 64GB model is about 1400 USD (incl. VAT).
[doublepost=1540640636][/doublepost]Yes even I experienced the same thing and upon asking for replacement these guys denied saying it’s software issue...even after restarting stereo works for some time and again stops randomly.

I am experiencing this issue with my Max. A quick restart resolves it so I'm not going to get all worked up about it. It's clearly a software issue so it'll get resolved. I was just glad to learn I wasn't the only one experiencing the problem.

Hope they fix it. I reported it. Do the same.

My XR just did this today. And yep, restarting the phone corrected it. I hope Apple gets around to fixing this.

I will admit, im not impressed with my Xs sound, but Max I heard is pretty awesome.

my max did it yesterday on 12.1 b5. A restart fixed it. I've had it since launch day. It's only happened that one time and hasn't done it again since.

I had this issue a couple of times on my iPhone XS Max, it was a few days over the 14 day return period. The second time it happened I didn’t bother restarting it and took it into Apple to show them and explained it would work if I restarted, they ran a diagnostic and it came up with a couple of errors. They didn’t tell me what (I saw it on their iPad with exclamations), and offered me a brand new retail box exchange.

So my warranty is now reset, changed to gold and haven’t had the problem since (knock on wood)!

Any update? Just wondering if it has happened again since I have seen people with the new XR reporting this issue as well. Just happened on my XS for the first time last night.

Hey sorry for the late reply! Nope it hasn’t happened at all on this one. This is a weird issue though if it’s happening on the new XR... must be software?
