Thanks, I did nothing special. Since this was a matte film, I just used a credit card wrapped in a microfiber cloth and just pressed down on the film and flatten it out starting from the middle outward on both sides. Looked great right away.

I JUST REAPLLIED... still the same bubble on the logo n the name.... or izzit becuz its black..

Wouldn't the Phantom Skinz be a wet application? Not sure they are 100% comparable.

Pocky,

little off topic that sim card tray looks wrong to me. might be just the picture. Seems too far in, mine seems flush in comparison

Great job on the protector

I don't know if its true or not, but he/she might have a similar wrap around the sides of the phone with the sim tray cutout, making it seems like the tray is a bit too far in. Mine is like that since I have the lucky lab wrap.

Pocky, are you running with any case or just the film protector? That looks great

I'm running just film protectors. I dislike cases of any kind. It just ruins the sleek look.

WOW, that looks sick!

is this the pocky that had a IS Vertex? ;)

Pchan!!!! Yessir. Lol still have your car?

Thanks. Yes it's the smooth matte white side wraps from sticker boy.

What difference would that make? His argument was because the lettering was raised. If that we're the case, it would bubble whether it was a wet or dry application.

Edit: he didn't mention about the raised lettering, someone else did.

I've had it since last friday and I absolutely LOVE IT!

Here are pics on my white. Just got a black iPhone for fun, if I keep it I will order the same product. No issues with the bubbles.

Which one did you order? I love the way yours looks, although I have the black iPhone. How hard was it to install? Any signs of it peeling off easily, I don't plan to put mine in a case....

Adhesive Bubbles...

So after a couple of days, I noticed that I had a small bubble at the bottom of the screen toward the bottom. That is not dust, however, it appears to be a lack of adhesive. I have had this issue on other SGP/Spigen screen shields when I ordered them as among the first batch when a new product came out.

So, I have now removed the back shield, for now and contacted SGP/Spigen about the issue.

Still, I like the product, and plan to order another set if I need to.

I'm assuming everyone is ordering the product that is in post #1? I see there are other options, but like the one in the link...

Interesting. Tempted to order one for the black to try myself.

I actually like the 3 piece design. The matte center makes you feel like you're holding the iPhone 5 naked. The way it was meant to be. It mimics the feel of aluminum well.

They seem to have just released "iPhone 5 Screen and Body Protector Set Steinheil EX Series"

It is the same thing as the original link but it includes side pieces now and a piece for the home button, i believe

http://www.spigen.com/cell-phone/ap...d-body-protector-set-steinheil-ex-series.html

Edit: Wow yet another combination of the original
"iPhone 5 Screen Protector Steinheil Dual Series"

http://www.spigen.com/cell-phone/ap...5-screen-protector-steinheil-dual-series.html
You now can choose a UC, UF, or UO front and the back will either be crystal/crystal or matte/crystal.

Cool, but Spigen needs to do a better job of planning out and consolidating their product lines. It seems like they're coming out with new screen protectors every week, with incremental inclusions or fixes, price hikes, and name changes...this is all getting quite ridiculous.

Mine just arrived today. This has to be the best bang for your buck in my opinion. As people have said before with the crystal front, it's almost impossible to know it's on there. Unfortunately i got some lint underneath it so there's a few spots bugging me but oh well.

The back is very difficult to put on perfect since there's not much to work with for aligning it properly. For example you only have 4 corners to work with for the middle rectangle piece. On the front you have the home button, camera, and speaker. The back took me a while but i got everything lined up great. It feels just like it did without anything on it thanks to the have matte and have regular screen protector mix on the back. I got no bubbles on the back around the apple or the iPhone text.

I definitely recommend this to anyone out there looking for screen protectors.

I just applied. Mind you, I am an extremely patient person so I did not rush this.
Dry application on black iPhone 5 - definitely bubbles, no way around it. Maybe the lettering isn't raised as much on the white model?
A wet application - one drop of water on the apple logo, one on the print - seemed to have solved that. We'll see once the whole thing dries.

I didn't find it that hard to put it on. The back square took a few tries, but if you can line it up parallel on one side, the rest just fits. The small pieces were the easiest. I'd say the most annoying thing about the back is if you try to lift one piece to get a speck of lint out, sometimes you accidentally hook another part with your piece of tape. Make sure each section is absolutely perfect enough before moving on.

The front is cut almost exactly to the holes for the camera, earpiece, and home button. Gotta be careful putting this one on.

The quality is fantastic though. I had a cheap-o Verizon screen protector on it at first. The clarity is so much better with the Spigen one. It's like the first time I saw an iPhone 4 display - the resolution feels that different with the Spigen film compared to the cheap-o one.

So far, I love it.

How does the back feel? Is it slippery?

It's definitely not as slippery as the glass, but more slippery than a silicone case would be.

As for the matte, it doesn't feel bad. It has a slightly different texture and feel than the crystal protectors on the back (which is nice). Not quite metal, but a similar texture to the anodized aluminum.

Did the wet install permanently get rid of the bubbles?

Anyone using one of these along with a case? I'm thinking about applying it along with the Piel Frama iMagnum leather case I was going to order since certain parts of the iPhone are exposed and didn't know if it would slide into it without coming off or bubbling.

Funny you should ask, I was just about to post.

The wet install did not permanently get rid of the bubbles for me. I didn't use a mixture of soap and water - I only used water. I don't know if that affects it how it dries and adheres to the slate.

I thought the air bubble would really tick me off, but I don't mind it anymore. As long as there are no air bubbles due to trapped lint/dust, I'm happy.

What were they thinking making the rear a 3 piece design? grr Still waiting on power support.
Can't really blame the screen protector manufacturers. The 1 piece on back looks weird, but so does the 3 piece. There really isn't a good option for the back IMO. If i had to choose though i'd definitely take this 3 piece design. It feels like the back of a normal iphone 5. If you put a 1 piece protector on it it'd feel completely different and nothing like the iphone 5.

I agree. I feel like there's no way around it. There are slight gaps between the aluminum part and glass part on the iPhone 5. If the back protectors are one piece, there would definitely be bubbling and would look really bad, esp. since this is a dry install. I like that these come with different textured pieces so it feels like a naked iPhone 5.

oh btw, just a quick reminder to the OP, it's SGP, not SPG. I was really confused with the name before too. ^^

Got mine in the mail today, now I just need to install it. I shouldn't have gotten the Hybrid bumper from SGP to with this....
Are there any metal bumpers that don't affect reception and will fit over this screen protector?

Edit: Any tips for installing this? I've installed a Zagg in the past and just made sure to take my time, but that was a wet install...
