Sell it, but a PC they are cheaper to do coke with, that way you can afford more coke... are we talking about the same thing? Good luck

I'd have to be on Coke to buy another PC in my lifetime, let alone use Windows ever again. :p

I understand the concept, but if I spilled something on my MBP, I would not want to put it near any food, drink, or otherwise. Maybe I am new to the concept of rice on a computer, but wouldn't you feel better to pay Apple to take a look at it? Maybe if they did it you could skate around any worries of warranty repair. If it didn't make its way to the internal components they would see it wasn't as bad as it could be?

Or am I missing something?

Yea, you would have to be cautious about rice getting into the SD and CD slots etc...

I would probably but some lace or fine mesh between the machine and the rice tbh.

Just tear it apart and clean everything, MBP are so easy to take apart compared to a PC. 8 screws and you have access to everything in the computer.

Isopropyl not so great for cleaning sugars. Regulator water - even better, distilled water is ideal for this.

Water is a solvent, after all.

After washing / rinsing / rinsing / rinsing / rinsing - it needs to dry for an eternity, shake as much water as you can physically remove, blow if off with air, use a paper towel - THEN use the rice trick, or desiccant....

Put the laptop in the microwave (highest setting) for 20 minutes. This method solves spillage problems, but unfortunately creates many other...compilations.

I agree with the user who advised prayer. After taking all of the steps recommended up to his point, all you can hope for is some divine act of providence to save your a**.

But don't feel bad, Apple will fix it for ~$340 under their new all-inclusive repair option. The days of $1,200 logic board replacements are gone.
