update: I went to the Apple store genius, and it turns out all I needed was a new chord...🙄 so it works well!
and they ran a diagnostic test and everythings perfect.

any advice or was i just blessed??

Advice? Take care of your belongings. Use this as a learning experience; next time you might not be so lucky.

open dry it with a hairdryer. Then it should work. Unless it was inn when u spilled ur liquids.
