Bootrom is fixed in the phone.
Do you mean baseband ?
No, I always thought that if you updated the 3GS to 3.1.3 you'd lose untethered JB as it updated the Bootrom - am I missing something?
Cheers

How have you determined June 22nd ?
Since Apple has moved the WWDC up to June 7-11th, we will likely see 4.0 firmware released to the public shortly after, but what day is still speculation.
It is likely both Geohot and DevTeam have an unlock solution, so hopefully in June...
So where does June 22nd come from ?
log on to iphone IRC and read the top line........and comex is on there now
How 'bout you just tell us what it says since not all of us know the irc server channel details?
I'm not saying you're wrong, it sounds like might not be, I just like information.
exact quote from the header on the page>>Spirit is *not* on scheduled release for Friday
Isn't colloquy just an IRC app?
People will still need the server and channel name.
Well so far everything on Comex's twitter page still point to Friday... I just hope its true... been waiting patiently for this ever since I bought my New Bootrom 3GS of doom![]()

I still think the Spirit will be released tommorow. I still wont try it, because it seems kinda risky.
I'm guessing he would release on twitter or ask Dev Team to host it on their site.
hmm... I guess I'll just have to follow twitter very closesly tommorow.![]()
I hate how you follow something so closely and check every 5 seconsds, and find out and the end of the day that it wasn't coming today. Oh Well!!!![]()
The irc channel does have "Spirit is *not* on scheduled release for Friday" set as the topic. There are quite a few recognizable names from the scene in the channel. So either it's officially true or they officially want people to shut up about it; I am not familiar enough with the JB community to know which it might be.
Nope, the bootrom can only be programmed or updated during the manufacturing process.
Not thru iTunes.
