I am, actually. It's my back up phone should I consider the new iPhone not worth buying. I've kind of wanted to try out WP for a while, but we shall see what Tim brings out for us in 5 (or for us, 8-9 :p) hours. :D

Same thing here actually, I was really excited for the new iPhone, but once Nokia announced the Lumia 920 (in a really bad presentation :() my excitement sort of faded away. Now I'm waiting to see what the next iPhone and Nexus will be, but the Lumia 920 is a strong contender.

When does the video get posted? I accidentally clicked the front page and saw some very likely rumors (regret), so now I'm going to be steadfast and just wait for the official video. But I don't want to have to wait 10+ hours for it to be posted on apple.com, I'd rather keep jumping on live streams than wait that long.

I read the first and last page. I didn't think the answer would be in the middle ones. I guess I was wrong, I'll go back and have a look. I'll post the answer here via edit when I find it, in case anyone wanted to know.

EDIT: a few hours someone said.

Just giving you a hard time brotha ;)

Usually goes up 3-4 hours after the event. It'll be linked in the first post of the thread.

Yeah, I just looked through them all and could only find "a few hours after the event". I'm just sort of keen to find out what's up and want Apple's hard sell if possible. I just ordered a rMBP and am wondering if I should cancel it and ask for an Air and iPhone instead, or what. It's been stressful writing a cheque for that much money (had to pay by cheque because my account has a 1k limit, I've never spent more than that amount at once!).

I have the 4. Which I like, but it's so slow. I listen to FLACs and sometimes very high resolution FLACS (which are downcoverted a bit anyway), and it runs so slow.

But I can afford to buy one outright in six months. Or fall into a plan again (which has never really offered me great value as I rely on email and Facebook mostly these days).

Oh, and I also have the 2010 Air with 4GB memory. I loved it at the time, but it also is struggling to deal with all the tabs, high res music and multiple mammoth PDFs which I constantly have open. Also, I really want three external displays at once, for all of those documents and often TV or lecture videos.

I'd go with a new phone and air if the price works out to be the same as the rMBP.

Today is the day, hopefully the stream will be up as quick as the last 2 times :D

In the meanwhile: anyone excited for the Lumia 920?

Me but I won't be able to get it since I'm saving for an iMac.

----------

I'm not sure if I should go spoiler-free this time. I don't care about the iPhone, I'm only waiting for the iMac, and I think there's only like 5% chance (much less than the WWDC) that iMac will be announced or silently updated during this event.

Me too.

While I have no intention of owning a phone again, getting to watch the keynotes unspoiled is the next best thing to being there, and I've enjoyed watching them all.

Thank you for doing these.

Looking forward to two new Dr Who's and an Apple Keynote tonight! :)

I may be somewhat naive about this and if I am, I apologize but just have a question on this 'spoiler free thread'.....

If people want to be truly spoiler free until they watch the keynote once Apple have released it, surely the last place to come would be the internet? Period......

If I wanted to be spoiler free, I think merely just turning on my pc, firing up the internet and coming to this thread, I would probably have caught a glimpse of some info just trying to get here.....?! Would it not be better to just sit in your bedroom and read a book or something until Apple's keynote....?!

Again - not trying to offend anyone but just genuinly perpexed....?!:confused:

In a sense that's true. The last place to hang out is the Internet. But then you also can't turn on TV (news broadcasts) or talk with friends because they'll be 'helpful' and tell you about the new stuff :) the best thing is to take a nap or a long walk or do some work or something. But failing that, we're all bundle of nervous energy excited for the show and like to hang it together. This forum and the page that links it is the only guaranteed place on the internet where anything won't be spoiled. You don't realise how far reaching a single apple announcement can be until you try and avoid it :)

It's probably a joke, if not then:eek:

It's not. Just glanced at some macrumors headlines. But you see my point about people hanging out here not wanting to know.

----------

I'm totally excited that it's that time of year again :)

I have the following tips for anyone wanting to stay 100% spoiler free as I can guarantee the following WILL happen!

- someone will post spoilers in the spoiler free thread
- Those in the know will leave cryptic clues talking around the subject
- people will argue about the definition of 'spoiler free'

Forgive me if this sounds a litlle bitter, but it's happened in every spoiler free thread so far. For me, spoiler free means I don't even want to know whether Tim walked out on stage, whether things were 'as expected' or whether other people's expectations were realised.

Thankfully the forum mods are usually pretty good at sorting out the junk and being on top if it. Also, his voidness is a legend and has already updated his keynote checker at http://insightview.com/keynotechecker/

Buckle up people. It's going to be a hell of a ride :)

Went spoiler-free for the first time at the last media event and now I'm hooked. Looking forward to seeing the keynote without already knowing the entire outcome.

What does he mean by this?

People always talk about Fight Club while waiting for the stream to go online. I don't know why, but I kind of like that tradition :)

In the Book/Movie of Fight Club, the rules of Fight Club start off as "1. You do not talk about Fight Club 2. You do NOT talk about Fight Club".

It's just in my original post as humor in the Rules section.

Good God, this is getting harder and harder not to look any of the rumor sites.

How do you guys do it???

Please... somebody help me :(
