The class is called Principles of Sound Reasoning. Mostly logic stuff. It's actually pretty interesting.

Nice. :) And it's a rather important subject too, because reasoning and discussions are quite fundamental for human communication. They should teach stuff like that more, in my opinion.

Saw this discussion on Reddit a few days ago... can't go back there now obviously, but interested to know what you think is mankind's best invention?

I must say I LOVE my sonic-care toothbrush!!

All I need is small solar battery and I can charge both it and my other prized possession my iPhone - off the grid..

Does anyone know if the keynote is over?

Does anyone know if the keynote is even over??

i dont think we invented fire, we simply discovered and harnessed it
Yeah it existed before we knew of it. We didn't invent it. The same goes with electricity.

One of the better answers was the Internet. But I think that's a cop out. It's great and all, but best invention ever? It's up there alright.

Question?

I won't spoil it for you guys, but what exactly is the purpose of not wanting to know now? I say this with the utmost respect to your thread.

My reason is so I can watch the keynote and not know the details of what I am going to see.

If I follow the live blog first, the keynote isn't as exciting as I know what is coming and in what order. :)

For me, I like to sit and watch the thing as it actually was, not just as a stream of sentences and photographs coming in...

I used to watch both the live stream on MacRumours, and the video when they put it up, but I much prefer waiting so it's a surprise for me! ^.^

There is a difference in finding out second hand via photos and text from journalists and bloggers and actually experiencing it first hand directly from the stage on video.

I've been trying to find as many lesser-ish known Sci-Fi films as I can recently, if you guys have HBO GO "Another Earth" wasn't too bad and reasonably unique and there's a ton of things on Netflix to watch. After I finish catching up on Homeland, what are some of your guys' favorite and not quite as popular Sci-Fi films? I just watched the original Solaris on BD and loved it, re-watched Dune and Moon on BD as well ...

Some really good suggestions. Another one is Sunshine. Is it alot of sci-fi movies on HBO Go? hBO go is coming to Scandinavia in october. can't wait for that either :D
