Transparent Proxy. ISP's often force web traffic via a traffic to save them cash on transit. Then when someone requests a page you've requested, there's a local copy they dish up. Until that expires or is refreshed, the proxy server just dishes up the image instead.

But the individual URLs of the images are different. How does that apply here
