"Spoiler-Free" WWDC 2010 Thread

It's almost midnight on the East Coast. Even if it was up right now, I still wouldn't get any sleep until 2:30-3am after I watch the keynote and read a few blogs and forums about the announcements.

After Gizmodo's new iPhone leak, I hope Apple really does have something as mind-blowing to reveal alongside a likely new iPhone. If a new iPhone was announced, it's likely the same as Gizmodo's leak, and won't get as good of a reaction as it would have.

Well since this thread is called Spoiler free and not "No big spoilers but vague things are ok", then you're the one that's in the wrong place.
 
1. So I found out my old copy of sim city 2000 is not working.

2. I am going to download the torrent version. I wonder if Maxis... oh wait EA will sue me? :)

3. Dang 2.5k download speed?

Some people are just like that. I remember an IGN.com hate group because a screenshot from Metroid Prime 3 showed Samus with missiles and "spoiled" the game for them. If you've never played a Metroid game before, Samus has missiles in every single game and is usually the first upgrade she gets. :p

Seriously, if it bothers you that much I'm sorr,y but I think you'll forget about it quickly when Apple starts announcing things. Assuming they did. For all I know they just stood up there and talked about the weather for the hour or two (or ten) they were there.
 
Please no spoilers of any kind.

I've made it this far today without knowing a peep about what's going on and I'd like to enjoy the keynote in peace tonight, perhaps with a little bit of weed

You are right, I don't get why so many people are getting their panties in a wad about something so TRIVIAL! HOLY COW guys, GET A LIFE! WHO CARES if you know if Steve Jobs was on stage or not? If you don't want to know that, then maybe you SHOULD be in a CAVE!

except he is right, you are wrong, gtfo of this spoiler free thread, I am pissed I had to skip through a couple pages of your BS rationalization and people being pissed at you. there is always one fool who thinks they'll be cool and post some info about the event, then claim it's not a spoiler, congrats, that fool is you this time!
 
wow, i don't think we've ever waited SOOOOO long for the damn keynote

Maybe at 10 pm pacific time? 12 hours after the event started....
Or maybe Midnight pacific time.....
I'm guessing its one of those two.:(
 
Maybe Gizmodo hacked into the server and is blocking the file from being able to populate...For a nice ransom of "All Charges Dropped"

I thought the second part was *Marvy* Attorney! (For the younger folk, it's a slang term for marvelous...)

Exactly. THIS FORUM is our digital cave. If you don't agree with what were doing go someplace else. What your doing now is the equivalent of yelling in the cave taunting the crazy people. Please. Just leave us alone and don't spoil our fun. Yes were extreme. But so what? In what way does it hurt you? Just leave us be.
 
The technical difficulty is definitely a spoiler, albeit a minor one. It was important enough to make the news.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this but here's big Apple news today that is not a spoiler because it wasn't mentioned in the keynote: [Redacted by request]

yeah it is. But I think it just sound like that because the singer was being funny. I don't think the word is actually marvy.
