Btw, everyone... reactions or indirect mentions of what was announced is also considered a spoiler. There's no need to write that here. You have the entire rest of these forums to talk about it, or just keep it to yourself.

first time for me as well

i'm having trouble filling the time, all my rss feeds are possibly poisoned. the full d8 interview was a lovely treat though.

agreed, while waiting for the iPad announcement we had several trickle in and announce that they thought the name for 'the thing' was stupid or silly which i thought and considered a spoiler as well.

Mad props

Voidness, many thanks for the indispensable keynote checker. :D

Also, much kudos for using one of my favorite fonts, Helvetica Neue UltraLight

My 2nd keynote :p and first where I am trying spoiler free, partially because I completely forgot about it and don't want to wade through everything and figure it might be more fun watching the keynote. UK though so gonna be late -.-.

to pass the time....:D

Voidness

Voidness? How long is the Keynote? do you think it takes longer time for apple to post it online this time?

Hi,

Spoiler free veteran since WWDC 08, hence the name.

Is there a keynote link checker thing that somebody can repost?

I'm to lazy to look through every post to find one.

Thanks :D

I love the office, never gave AD a good watch. My screen name is from The Office, it was Andy Bernards acapella group at Stanford ;)

Come on Apple! Post that keynote already!

I'm ready......
:)

Okay, to pass the time, why don't we have a discussion about some of our favorite Mac Apps, Web Apps, iPhone/iPad Apps, Music, Movies, TV Shows, or Books that we've come across recently.

I'll start:

Mac Apps: Not exactly an app, but I highly recommend the Multiclutch preferences pane. It allows you to assign custom mutlitouch gestures to your entire computer or specific apps. Some cool things I use it for is 'pinch' to minimize an app, left and right swipes to switch between tabs, swipe down to download/check for new mail or new rss feeds, and rotate left/right to go back/forward in safari.

Web Apps: Remember The Milk, to have an online mult-device accessible to-do list/reminders. Also, wakerupper, a free service to call your phone with a message like a hotel wake-up service or reminder service.

iPhone Apps: (don't have one, but I think Shazam is cool for finding out the name of a song on the radio).

Music: Really liking the indie band 'Vampire Weekend' right now.

Movies: The best movie I've seen recently is 'American Psycho', it's pretty well known but I thought it was both thought-provoking, funny, and a little scary that I recognized bits of the main character in people I know.

TV: Archer, an animated 'spy' comedy on FX (all episodes in the first season are on Hulu), is one of the must unique and funny shows I have ever seen. The writing and style are really unique. It's critically acclaimed but not that well known yet.

Books: Currently reading 'The World According to Garp', and loving it. I highly recommend it.

p.s.
You don't have to recommend one of each type like I did. Just throw out recommendations... especially things that we can check out right now while still being spoiler free.

p.p.s.
I just realized that many of the things I recommended have sick/twisted/offbeat aspect to it. I'm not always psycho, maybe it's just the mood I am in while waiting!! :-D

You're welcome :) and yes, I also love Helvetica Neue UltraLight. This is actually the first time I use it.

The keynote was 2 hours long. I have no idea how long it'll take them this time. But based on the last 3 WWDC keynotes, it should be no longer than 3 hours from now.

Give BetterTouchTool I try, I much prefer it to Multiclutch. Highly recommend it. :)

Lets see... music....
I'm really into Bon Iver, The Decemberests, M.Ward, Menomena, Owl City, and Mumford and Sons right now....
