That's right. In fact, why don't all business except Apple be shut down? Why don't we raid the treasury and Fort Knox and just give Apple all of the money, maybe go wage world war if necessary to try to force all other countries to do the same. Then, as we starve to death, the last one of us still alive can come on here for one final post: "Mission Accomplished!" All hail the Apple.

According to the folks over at 9 to 5 mac it will not.Why wouldn't it?
Apple Music is interesting enough a product that I'm going to sign up on day 1 for a trial and see how things go from there.
It doesn't bode well that Spotify still isn't profitable despite currently being the industry leader.
Amazon still hasn't turned a profit...
It's not about the state of the industry it's about rapid growth.
Most of Spotify's valuation comes from cash flow forecasts into the 2020's!
The interesting stuff though is how many of them will convert to paying customers after the three month trial.Let's see, Launch on june 30th.... punches numbers into calculator... I'd say Thursday, Friday at the latest.
Oh, but they do. In fact every album.Spotify do not have Pink Floyd... search it spotifier........
Spotify suits my wants far more than any of the others (which is why I've been using it for several years). It's the only thing out there that allows you to choose the songs - or the albums - that you want to hear, rather than just radio stations with music "like" what you might want. I'll never give up Spotify.
It's for privacy reasons. So we still don't have a 3rd party API for Siri. I wonder if that's because Apple wants Siri to be exclusive to Apple Music and doesn't want Spotify or anyone else to be able to tap into it?
You do realize Apple Music will do the same?
I think Apple Music will be a better deal for smaller artists as Spotify heavily stack the money in favour of the big guns. That's going to be true of Apple music but with no free offering and with built in iTunes, the smaller artists have a greater chance of bigger earnings. It's important that Apple maintain the feature of buying and owning music though.
Shouldn't the concept that Apple wants to profit from this while Spotify doesn't profit factor into this speculation? Conceptually, those profits that Spotify don't make could flow through to the artists (I don't know this with any certainty- just offering my own counterpoint speculation). We know that Apple tends to like to take XX% right off the top (first in line) and that Apple likes big margins. Conceptually, Apples big margins could eat up a big bite of the money that could flow through to the artists vs. Spotify (again speculation).
From what I know, artists deals are generally very poor within the sale of their music. Apparently, they make a lot of their living by hitting the road (on tour). If true, exposure is exposure. If a listener likes an artist on either Music or Spotify enough to want to go see them on tour, that's probably the most money that artist can make from that consumer (unless they are among the handful of superstars).
Personally, I speculate the streaming model probably eats about all of the revenue between the streamer (Apple, Spotify, Pandora) and the label with the artists getting a tiny slice at best. If true, the unestablished and/or fledgling artists probably wants the exposure on both or all of them in hopes of building up a following that will then pay up to see them on tour. I doubt the non-superstars will see either service as their one best option... but just one of several options where they want to try to grow a following.
Apple do usually want a big cut but they are usually a bit more balanced in how their charge. That could work for the smaller guys more than what they get from Spotify.
Transparent timing is transparent.
AAC 256 is as good or better than MP3 320.Am I the only one who cares about quality?
Spotify's Premium offering nets you 320k MP3 while, apparently, apple music is only 256? (Even beats was mostly 320...)
