that was your wish, not mine.your wish has already answered - many devs dont put their software to mac appstore because of stupid restrictions so that the software cannot function fully. no wonder mac appstore is dead.

On a Siri being able to control Spotify I actually agree. This should have been solved already.I think that if the end result of all of this is that Siri finally opens up and can talk to Spotify, it's all worth it. I don't really care about any other parts of this case.
Everything that Apple said is true.
But 30%? Are you kidding me, even 15%?
I would think services like this would expect 1-5%. Apple is greedy, pure and simple.
Indeed and I subscribe to Netflix just fine, as a matter of fact since I hate in-app purchases I have always subscribed through the web site.
I don’t understand their logic, they’re mad that Apple takes a 15% cut for distributing and promoting their app while they do the same thing with artists?
They fail to mention that App Store brings in double as much revenue compared to Google Play Store, if you’re not happy with Apples 15% cut, just use Play Store and see how it goes for your business.
And also, Spotify decided to go to court so they could have a bigger cut from the poor artists while Apple decided not to. They’re such a hypocrite
The fact that they complained to the EU and not in the US shows that their "case" is as strong as a snowflake and they are hoping for EU to lean towards them.
Not anymore. Not to mention the EU has no legal power outside it. I assume Spotify has more customers outside the EU.They're a Swedish company...
Not anymore.
This narrative about calling Apple a “monopoly” is just so wrong. The App Store is a platform with millions of apps, and there’s plenty of competition. If Apple made every app, they’d have a point.
No.Spotify: we're not making enough money because of you, so you must be the bad guy.
So somehow Apple, with on 25% market share in Europe is a monopoly?
If headquarters were in Sri Lanka would it mean its Sri Lankan company?Someone better update their Wikipedia page then, because it still says Headquarters: Stockholm, Sweden.
Why do people keep using Spotify beats me
First of all "Choice is good?" in and of itself is not an argument. People confuse choice with abundance all the time. Second which one is better is highly subjective.Because choice is good?
Because it is better than Apple Music?
*shrug*
Why does that bother you?
In America maybe.Apple makes the hardware and software. They can do whatever they want with their platform.
Let’s see how Apple likes it to sell no product in Europe, shall we? Her name is Margrethe Vestager, look it up!They [Spotify] will quickly realize that 70% of the profit is better than 100% of nothing.
Oh I see!First of all "Choice is good?" in and of itself is not an argument. People confuse choice with abundance all the time. Second which one is better is highly subjective.
Agreed. The level of people defending these practices by Apple is absurd. Spotify has a great case here, Apple are being extremely anti-competitive by not playing by the same rules as the rest of the streaming apps.
Apple plays by the same rules on every other platform than their own. That’s the nice thing about owning a minority platform. You can do what you want. The level of people defending these practices by Apple is absurd.
