I'm very nervous.
I need a desktop M1 Max quite urgently and I really hope we'll see the very rumoured M1 Max Mac Mini...

Just waiting for that Gurman Report telling us it's actually the 15th (or the 22nd, or the 29th) of March...
If you go back to the original theory of about every 6 months there are new AS releases. That points to mid April to May. Of course our paid tech gossiper wrote something to say New Mac coming in May-June. Its like someone trying to place his bets on red and black at a roulette table by combining May with WWDC.

We still have part of tomorrow for the sun to shine still. Will it be sunny or just a another cloudy day? ;)

Mid-April would be perfect, as that is my birthday (tax day)...!

Just popped into Currys a UK high street store that sells Apple products
Got chatting to the staff who said they had received confirmation code this morning the the low end Mac Mini is now discontinued & cannot be ordered for delivery
I wonder if this will mean the 16gb / 512ssd will become the base model & we will get a Mini Pro or Max ?
I am thinking a Mini Pro level and an iMac Pro level.

When I'm sitting here trying to decide whether I'm going to buy existing tech or wait for new gear which we can't even be certain is even coming, let alone when, it's super annoying that Apple can't just get on with it and launch products without the 'televised' fanfare. Imagine if Zanussi did this with washing machines.

Oh they can. The store in the past goes down and when it comes back some aspects of certain products are changed/updated. Redesigned Macs that's a while different level, those are usually seen at digital events.

By 'products' I was meaning Macs, in the context of this thread. Sorry if I was a bit vague.

So here in the UK we've passed half way through March 1st and no sign of this March 8th even being announced, which is only a week away. If it was definitely going to be March 8th wouldn't we know by now...

Doesnt it come from invites ? which I would have said go out when Apple work day starts in US ?

No idea but if we haven't heard anything by the time I go to bed, which will be more or less the end of the workday in the US, I guess it's not going to be March 8th. More and more I'm wishing I'd just gone ahead and bought either a MBA or a Mini month ago rather than live in hope they announce some new Macs, that we don't even know they're definitely launching, at an event we don't even know they're definitely having.
